UNIX Administrator job responsibilities include:

·         System engineering and administration in a UNIX environment with a strong knowledge of UNIX administration

·         Working with Solaris, SuSE, AIX, and RHEL platforms

QUALIFICATIONS:

o   Must have 6+ years of experience and hands on experience.

o   Experience with Veritas Volume Manager, VCS

o   Strong working knowledge with troubleshooting OS, network and hardware issues.  
Must have good working knowledge of UNIX naming service, Kerberos, Samba, and SUDO.

o   Must have strong programming/scripting languages such as Perl, Korn Shell, Bourne Shell, C, or any development tools.

·         Experience with Puppet, CISCO UCS, Oracle SPARC is preferable.

o   Must be able to work independently on multiple concurrent tasks in a highly dynamic environment with strong customer service skills, teaming skills and the ability to collaborate within a cross functional team.
