Test Engineer with Scripting

Location: Redmond WA

Type : Contract 6-12 +months

 

Responsibilities

• Work with other members of the team to understand the existing pipeline and define an end-to-end testing strategy
• Design and implement an automated testing framework that will ensure the integrity, reliability, and effectiveness of the genomics pipeline
• Create, maintain, and document the test plans
• Analyze issues, generate report results, and track bugs
• Work with the team to identify additional telemetry needed to help identify and resolve production issues
• Collaborate with the team to mitigate and resolve bugs
• Create custom, high-quality tools that help drive positive customer satisfaction

 

Qualifications

• BS in computer science (or equivalent)
• 5+ years of experience creating test plans and frameworks for SOA and Cloud automation, including integration, performance, and stress testing
• 5+ years of experience using C#, .NET, and Python
• Working knowledge of C, C++, and Java
• Ability to thrive on small, dynamic teams
• Passionate about delivering high-quality, performant, and reliable software

 

Preferred Experience

• Experience working with and contributing to Open Source projects
• Experience with Agile and iterative development processes, e.g. Scrum or Kanban
• Prior exposure to Big Data, Cloud, and HPC projects a plus
• Familiarity with bioinformatics and/or statistics a plus
