Job Description:

BI Developer/Data Analyst

Remote till covid (Malvern, PA)

5-7 years of exp.

 

• Responsible in obtaining and analyzing data using advanced statistical tools and share findings that lead to optimized performance, enhanced engagement, improved retention, increased revenue and/or decreased cost.
• Responsible to gather all the functional, system and technical requirements with the stake holders to analyze as well as design the process which will be used as the base for the project       
• Working with tools like Microsoft Excel, Microsoft SQL server, Microsoft Access, IBM Cognos 8 and 10, AWS, AWD, Aspect, Collibra and Tableau 10.4 to perform everyday responsibilities.
• Responsible to work on reports which are reported daily/weekly/monthly by gathering data from primary or secondary sources within organizations data system, analyze the data on tableau workbook, run and publish to the server         
• Responsible to develop custom queries, views, and reports for upper management and create stored procedures using SQL Server Business Intelligence Development Studio, and use them to create tableau dashboards, charts, tables and raw data reports.  
• Responsible in developing Tableau visualizations, dashboards and workbooks using Tableau Desktop from multiple sources to perform year over year, quarter over quarter, YTD, QTD and MTD type of analysis and share them with the business users.   
• Responsible to create reports in IBM Cognos, designing by writing SQL queries to the data items and creating joins to get the data and to satisfy the client needs. Unit, System and Regression testing 
• Responsible to deliver ad-hoc reporting and develop financial models to help us better understand performance, trends and impacts of decisions.  Also execute ad-hoc reports for management to decide critical business decisions that will improve the efficiency of the company.       
• Responsible to develop value-added KPIs, actionable reporting to drive business insight and better decision making, identify variances and opportunities.   
• Responsible to support the business in terms of interpreting complex datasets, analyzing results using statistical techniques and providing key business reports.         
• Responsible to work with AWS hive by developing SQL queries to generate the reports and make changes accordingly to meet the data requirements from the Responsible
• Responsible to participate in software elevation discussions to advocate for data interests of business partners and integrate new technologies into workflows and also providing business partner with insight into impact to key performance indicators that may result as a result of significant changes to business processes
