Location: Little Rock, AR

Employment Type: 9+ Months Contract

Client: State of Arkansas – DFA

 

Responsible for providing expert support to DFA Enterprise System (AASIS). This position will work directly with the Technical Support Manager of the statewide budgeting system, PBAS.

 

The PBAS Technical Support Manager is looking for an expert in VB.NET to support on-going and new enhancements to the PBAS System.  Current efforts include  developing and coding new screens for existing applications and providing expert Server Migration support from SQL2000 to SQL2008.

 

Years of Relevant Experience: 7 to 11 years

Preferred Education:  4 year college degree or equivalent technical study or advanced degree

 

Role Description:

·         Responsible for playing a major role in the reporting tool enhancements in Stimulsoft.

·         Responsible for developing new screens for the implementation of existing and new applications.

·         Responsible for providing expert assistance in the migration of Microsoft SQL2000 to SQL2008.

·         Knowledge of Database Administration

·         Understands government business process and operations

·         Ability to transition business processes into business and technical requirements

·         Project Management experience

·         Reviews, analyzes, and evaluates business systems and user needs

·         Works well with IT and functional areas

·         Designs architecture for an organization on an enterprise level

·         Evaluates and revises business processes

·         Leads and directs the work of others

·         Anticipates and resolves issues

·         Sets deadlines, assigns responsibilities, and monitors progress

·         Proficient in one or more project management tools

·         Ensures that all project goals are accomplished according to specifications and business objectives

·         Determine time estimates and schedule for own work and resolve issues in a timely manner

·         Identify and track issues, risks and action items

·         Anticipate, identify, track and resolve issues and risks affecting own work and work of the project team 

·         Develop contingency plans as necessary

·         Consistently provides accurate and detailed estimates

·         May analyze or recommend commercially available software or other IT architectural components
