Job Title: Senior Automation Engineer 

Experience: Minimum 7 to 8 Years Exp. 

Location: NJ Location - Remote is accepted for EST candidates

Duration: 6 to 12 month and extendable Contract

 

Domain: Insurance domain experience would be great but not mandate.

You will have the opportunity to solve complex business challenges by designing and engineering solutions that bring great benefit and are meaningful to our stakeholders. 

 

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop and implement custom solutions using the Appian platform
• Build and support workflows and solutions built in the Appian platform
• Leverage relevant software development experience to promote best practices and faster development
• Architect and design applications, including modeling database schema, building out user flows, and creating interfaces
• Evaluate business processes, anticipate requirements, and design solutions
• Build and invoke web APIs to integrate with various systems that are used across the organization 
• Work with leadership to prioritize initiatives based on business needs and requirements
• Lead and support user acceptance testing
• Facilitate user workshops to gather and document business needs, requirements, weaknesses, and challenges
• Document and communicate insights and plans to cross-functional team members and management
• Be able to understand the fundamental business needs and come up with creative ways to solve the underlying problems 
• Understand the CLIENT ecosystem and create integrations between digital assets, core systems and business processes 
• Work in partnership with leadership and teams across the IT and business landscape to ensure common understanding of the problems and the related solutions

 

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Computer Science or related field and/or a technology focused MBA.
• A minimum of 2 or more years of experience in Appian based application development (Appian Certified Senior Developer credentials or higher preferred)
• Preferred experience with relational databases (MySQL or similar) including designing data models and/or entity relationship diagrams (ERDs) for business use cases
• Appian administrator experience
• Prior experience with enterprise systems (e.g., CRM, HRIS, ERP) and their corresponding business domain knowledge
• Eligibility to work within the U.S.
• Proficiency with programming languages such as Java, JavaScript, Python, Ruby, C++, C#, etc. 
• Previous experience with operational process reviews and basic internal control requirements
