BACKGROUND
NYSTRS’ Information Services Department (ISD) is responsible for the design, deployment, operation and maintenance of enterprise resources including information technology service management (ITSM). ISD recently implemented ServiceNow to replace its aging help desk ticketing system, and is looking to expand the ServiceNow environment.
The following ITIL-based processes have been implemented to date:
• Incident Management
• Knowledge Management (one public knowledge base)
• Request Management and the Service Catalog
• Service Portal
ISD plans to implement the following modules/processes (in no specific order and not limited to)
• Problem Management
• Facilities Management
• Change Management
• Discovery
• CMDB
• Service Watch
• Project Portfolio Suite
Mandatory Skill:
· At least 3 years’ experience with requirements gathering, documentation and management, specifically creating business and functional requirements and specifications and requirements traceability matrices.
· At least 1 year Experience in information technology methodologies including working with developers, operational staff, service desk staff, and business users.
· At least 3 years Experience and proficiency in facilitating meetings and interviews with end users at all levels of an organization.
· At least 1 year Experience communicating in a professional manner with Executive Management.
· Ability to communicate clearly, concisely, and effectively with staff.
· The ability to develop and forge strong relationships and build consensus among competing stakeholders.
· Experience with working on projects utilizing Waterfall and/or Agile Project Management methodologies during large scale enterprise projects.
· Consultant must have conducted at least 3 multiyear projects, or 5 or more projects less than 12 months in length.
· At least 1 year of experience with creation of formal test cases and scripts.
· Basic understanding of ITIL v3 best practices
Desirable Skill:
· IIBA or PMI-PBA certification
· Experience with Microsoft Visio or Navvia creating business process flows and cross-functional flowcharts.
· Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Visio effectively and efficiently.
· Experience with Adobe Acrobat, Adobe Captivate, SnagIT, WebEx, Biscom SFT.
· Experience creating training content including documentation and videos.
· Facilitating user acceptance testing.
· Experience writing and communicating user stories to subject matter experts and developers.
· Experience utilizing ServiceNow Geneva Release or later.
· Experience performing business analysis for ServiceNow related project efforts.
