Job Title : BPC Solution Architect
Location : Kalamazoo, MI
Duration : Long term
Essential duties & Responsibilities:
· Responsible for the overall systems architecture and design in the larger context of complex heterogeneous systems. Support finance projects and act as a senior technical resource to vet out feasibility of complex requirements.
· Analyze, recommend, develop and prototypes practical approaches, frameworks and solutions supporting our Business Planning requirements,
· Work closely with the Functional and Business teams to understand, guide and translate their diverse planning requirements into effective SAP BPC based solutions.
· Assist onboarding of standard BPC usage patterns and practices throughout the existing and new SAP landscapes
· Provides Subject Matter Expertise within the entire footprint of the SAP BPC solution
· Spearhead standardization and technical debt retirement in our various planning solutions including those based on existing Oracle Hyperion
· Lead new generation of technologies in the Finance area as needed
· Serves as domain expert in all aspects of architecting, designing and application development.
· Formulate deployment strategies to ensure reliability and scalability for Stryker systems.
· Assesses technological risks that could jeopardize the growth and/or operations of the organization; makes recommendations on applications retirement.
· Leads and directs the work of other technical resources.
· Provides consultation on complex projects and is considered to be the top-level contributor/specialist.
· Business and financial acumen - great knowledge and understanding of basic business and data flow is required.
· Demonstrates expertise in a variety of the systems development concepts, practices, and procedures.
· Writes specifications, develops architectural concepts and artifacts.
· Mentors and develops architects and technical leads.
Education & special trainings:
· Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university required bachelor’s degree in the areas of Computer science, Engineering, Information Systems, Business, or equivalent field of study preferred.
· Advanced degree preferred
· SAP BPC Certified preferred
Qualifications & experience:
· Minimum 10 years of relevant SAP experience, within the domain of Financial Planning
· 8+ years’ experience in hands on experience designing, developing and delivering progressive SAP BPC including developing planning solutions of high complexity and large scale
· Previous experience with BPC a must. This should include work as technical/functional analyst with EPM skills to develop templates, configuration of new environments/models, dimensions, script logics and computations using BPC skills.
· Ability to engage with customers and partners to understand their business needs and priorities, lead requirement gathering and analysis session, design technical solutions leveraging appropriate features and frameworks
· Ability to communicate efficiently and effectively with other functional and development teams who will be responsible for the overall solution buildout, deployment and support
· Prior experience with integration within an SAP S/4 HANA environment required.
· Extensive knowledge of finance processes specifically around accounting.
· Experience with process mapping and documenting complex processes and presenting them in a clear and understandable format is required.
· Experience understanding, evaluating, and recommending changes to business processes are required.
· Experience working in an agency-regulated environment is required.
· SDLC Expertise must
· Experience on multiple technological platforms used by Finance teams.
· Experience developing strategic business process methodologies to drive collaboration and bus
