Job Title       : Linux Admin.

Job location    : O’fallon, MO

Job Duration : 12 months to start (likely 12 month extension)

Notes:-

• Platform Support

• Need critical thinking skills (systematically work thru issues)

• SQL, Oracle experience required

• Linux/Unix experience required

• Windows servers experience

• SQL scripting, Bash scripting 

• Java or C++ experience required 

• Webfocus support experience is a BIG plus

Experience:-

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent combination of related work experience.

Must demonstrate strong communication skills both written & verbal, while illustrating a solid command of the English language.

Must have a high degree of initiative and self-motivation while demonstrating the ability to drive results.

Experience in supporting internet fundamentals related to web servers, java application servers, internet security and other internet technologies.

Thorough knowledge and understanding of network and operating system principles with:

• Network Troubleshooting (TCP/IP) with DNS, HTTP, & SSL

• Command line mastery within Operating Systems such as Solaris, AIX and RedHat Enterprise Linux

Highly successful candidates will have advanced knowledge and experience in many of the following areas:

• Java/C++ application support running in application servers such as JBoss, WebSphere, & Tomcat

• HTTP Server & Application Load Balancing Technologies such as Apache, NetScaler & F5

• Application Performance Management tools such as AppDynamics or Dynatrace

• Operational Tools and Software such as Splunk, JIRA, Confluence, Subversion/Git and the VI editor

• Automation tools such as Selenium, SoapUI

• Scripting proficiency in Bash, Chef or SQL
