I am Nitin from Compu-vision Consulting . Please review following job Description for Sr. Delivery Specialist position with one of our Financial client.  Please share candidate well suited for the following role.

 

The job description for this position is below. Would you be willing to serve 5+ months as they have an open position.

 

Candidate must have 9+ Years experience with Linux Administration and Strong Cloud and Devops experience 


Title : Sr. Delivery Specialist (EGPSJP00003455) 

Location : San Jose, CA
Duration : 5+ months
Interview Type : Phone Interview 

Must Have:
DevOps 
DevOps Process - Train /Coach
SQL DevOps - Develop/Implement


Requirements

·         Have sufficient understanding of your company's servers - including hardware, BIOS, BMC and utilities to root cause or diagnose any performance issues. This includes RAID cards, NICs, drives, chassis and/or fan controllers.

·         Have deep exposure to Linux, including hardware detection and diagnosis

·         Do not need to be onsite, but need to be dedicated to the customer's account and available to respond at short notice. Also need to deep dive into issues without distractions from other projects. 
Travel to San Jose to establish working relationships with various customers, hold or attend regular meetings and work on internal tickets.

·         Good communication skills - written, oral and response times - to both customer's internal teams and to other engineers and resources from your company that you may need to draw on. Good, clean documentation is required.

·         Ability to identify the right resources in your company - or your vendors - to quickly and correctly address issues.

·         Ability to devise experiments to root cause and deploy selectively in the fleet. Ability to work with minimal supervision. Key outstanding and recently addressed issues (not an exhaustive list)

·         Wrap up any G6 chassis manager firmware update issues on new racks (if not fixed in the factory) or in deployed ER racks if issues are found.

·         Wrap up in G6 any BIOS errors around boot disk selection in GUI vs in-band. This is a Dell bug that may not be remediated in time in the factory. Using the Dell site technicians to fix this manually is acceptable.

·         Compatibility support and debug for hardware (like RAID cards, NICs) for new OS releases that came in after the release of an HW platform. 
Compatibility issues in new BIOS release with old or new kernels and OS distributions.

·         Help team debug and fix any fleet issues in older hardware through buggy firmware, or data center thermal or power issues or HDD / SSD epidemics.

·         Large-scale server crashes when running specific workloads

·         Firmware updates for hardware components like chassis managers, SAS disk back places etc that should "just work” but sometimes do not
