Location : Remote

Job Description
The role involves configuration set-up for new products, as well as suggestion of alternative parts for requested orders based on available inventory.
- Individual is responsible for analyzing BoMs (Bills of Material) of products across Cisco's entire product line to identify valid demo offerings and alternate parts.
- Individual will partner closely with Technical Marketing Engineers in the business units as well as manufacturing to ensure that configurations are valid. Role is technical in nature and requires a solid understanding of Cisco products.
- New Product Introduction (NPI) Analysis: Run sample configurations of new products through Cisco ordering tools to identify product options to order, accessories required, and manner in which items should be supported by Operations
- Collect BoM and accessory data from Cisco Internal tool to determine accessories needed to support Ordering of these products
- Part Master Management including Alternates and Substitutes
- Backlog Order Management to identify Orders where Substitutes can be offered as well as recommend parts to be procured
- Reconfigure loans as required to match any custom BoM updates
- Communicate with materials planner to facilitate supply and demand forecasting
- Communication with the Customers for Backlog reduction by modifying Orders
Skills:
- Knowledge of Cisco product lines and SKUs or knowledge of similar high tech product lines similar to Cisco
- Very strong understanding of BOM (Bill of Materials) *Familiarity with Ordering tools, especially Oracle ERP
- Quick learner and positive attitude
- Strong Communication skills
