Req. for the State of Michigan.  Prefer local candidates.  Must have vehicle as will be travelling to the different state offices. Must be a GC or US citizen only.

This is not a sr. position. Someone with Cisco ISE will be considered first. Candidate they liked had it but he is off the market. There are 2 positions.  Please send only qualified candidates.

 

Network Engineer

Duration: Contract- 1 year

Job Description

·         Network Engineer that will be working on upgrade projects including router/switches, wiring, rack mounting.

·         Will be working under direct supervision of a Sr. Engineer.

·         Needs to be flexible and drive to multiple sites and work off hours when necessary.

·         Very good communication skills.

 

Skill Sets:

·         Basic understanding of routers, switches, IP addressing. Deploying switches

·         Cisco Knowledge: CCNA

·         Drive to multiple sites in MI (Agencies and Offices). Must have a vehicle and valid driver’s license

·         Meticulous at Wiring

·         Determine what cabling is required

·         Familiar with patch panels, cabling standards, etc.

·         Gather and follow instructions

·         Create and follow documentation

·         Drawings

·         Procedures

·         Bill of Materials

·         Strong troubleshooting with router, switch, wiring

·         Understand overall design

·         Occasionally, will need to lift or move up to 50 pounds of materials
