JOB DESCRIPTION:
SCOPE OF SERVICES:
The client is looking for an Information Security Analyst to support the Program and Project Manager in Albany, NY with Information Security functionality and support as needed.
MANDATORY SKILLS:
· 1-3 years’ experience performing tasks as listed below:
· Application of software updates and patches on supported security and network systems and devices to minimize exploits and security flaws to improve system-operating stability
· Ability to work a flexible schedule to accommodate project and emergency support work
· Excellent communication and analytical skills
· Security certifications
· Provide primary system maintenance and configuration of client’s SIEM (security Incident and event management server)
· Provide primary system maintenance and configuration of client’s asset discovery server
· Assist in the design of networks to include in the architecture proper placement of security hardware, user testing, and a security operations center to include remote access
· Assist in ongoing website vulnerability scanning
· Operate tools, components and peripheral accessories
· Assist with handling off-hours support and outages
· Rack equipment in the data center such as Firewalls, servers, network gear, and layered security
· Assist with isolation, remediation, and reporting of severe security risks
· User administration tasks for application and URL filtering
· Creation of a security operations center to include tools utilized on Windows and Linux based platforms
