Senior ETL
Developer
Finance Technology is looking for a ETL Developer for a new Vendor Management
System. The ETL developer will be a critical team member of the VMO IT team. He
will be a back end database developer on the Project, who will be responsible
for the ETL development required for the project. The Vendor Management System
will serve as a repository for the firm's vendor information and is considered
a crucial application in the Spend Management space. This system will be used
as central inventory for vendor/third parties information sourced from various
systems like Ariba, APDM etc. the system will consolidate vendor/third party
related data according to VMO( vendor management office ) requirements. This is
a state of the art Greenfield development that starts with a tactical phase,
leading to a multi year strategic implementation.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Key ETL Developer on the Project.
- This ETL developer role
is geared more towards an ETL developer with python or Perl development skills.
- Must have the ability to support all phases of SDLC - requirements gathering,
development, testing, production implementation and post production.
- Performing Proof of Concepts on new platforms
- Good Team Player
- At least 7 years working
as an ETL Developer using Informatica within an IT department, supporting both
developers & users (business or other IT teams)
- Python or Perl development skills can substitute for part of Informatica
experience.
- ETL experience must be
in a Unix/Linux setup.
- Must have in depth
experience with DB2 as an application developer; using stored procedures, user
defined functions and embedded SQL in other Programming Languages.
- Must have Unix shell scripting background
- Excellent written and oral communication skills for managing interactions
both within the team and without.
- Very strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong work ethic.

Desired Skills:
- Green Plum and Teradata experience a plus
- Application DBA
