Job Title: Data Warehouse Consultant
Location: PORTLAND,OR
Duration 6 Months +
7+ years of¿professional experience¿in¿BI / Data Warehouse¿development preferably in a medium to large¿data warehouse environment.¿
¿ Hands on experience in delivering solutions in at least two of Data Modeling(ERWIN), Data Integration(Informatica), Data Analysis, SQL, R/Python and Machine Learning
¿ Demonstrated success in guiding data science projects to generate business insights and recommendations
¿ Understanding of core principles of data warehousing, data science and machine learning
¿ Hands on experience building logical data models and physical data models and normalizing techniques with 3NF
¿ Experience in MPP databases like Netezza or Teradata.¿
¿ Well developed¿written and verbal communication skills in customer settings and with internal management.¿Well developed¿active listening, facilitation and presentation skills.
¿ Successfully completed recognized data science / advanced data analytical courses

¿ Strong understanding of statistics to drive analysis around large structured and unstructured data sets
¿ Masters or PhD in data science, statistics, computer science or related field (or equivalent work experience)
¿ Knowledge in cloud solutions (preferable in Amazon suite of products)
¿ Experience in Transportation / Logistics industry
¿ Establish and maintain solid business relationships and work effectively with leadership teams and senior business contacts.
¿ Gain and upkeep a system wide, architectural view of the data solutions You are required to have system wide, architectural view of the deployed data solutions, and you consistently think in terms of architecture.
¿ Work with customers and business teams to identify relevant customer uses cases, customer needs and business opportunities that enhances the products we support;
¿ Develop product requirements documents to communicate data product features and decisions clearly to all stakeholders (business and technical)
¿ Translate and communicate business needs in clear technical terms to the technical resources and the technical details in simple business terms to the leadership and non technical people
¿ Identify, evaluate and integrate the data sources and ideal solutions that would best fulfil business requirements
¿ Play a leadership role in your team
¿ Demonstrate good judgement making technical trade offs between your group¿s short term and long term business needs, and the needs of the company as a whole
¿ Collaborate closely with the engineering team to align system design decisions to drive technica
