Charlotte, NC

Very tough to find skill, SunGard’s Omni software is a recordkeeping software used by larger retirement firms.

 

 

Top three critical skillsets or technologies needed:

   Skill #1: OmniDC experience

   Skill #2: Mainframe

   Skill #3: COBOL, OS/JCL, VSAM

 

Position Summary: 

 

OmniPlus batch production support Systems Analyst provides comprehensive mix of skills in production support with detailed incident level analysis, problem definition, and recommended solution.  As well as development, design, build and test of various technologies and application programs in accordance with a specified business need.  These analysts work as part of a production support unit, and also communicate progress, technical issues and their resolution.

 

Key Duties & Responsibilities: 

 

•             Monitor and provide support to workflows and provide expert knowledge on all workflow designs.

•             Monitor all alerts and escalate all issues for all procedures and systems.

•             Maintain logs of all issues and ensure resolutions according for all batch production processes.

•             Ability to analyze and resolve incidents quickly and accurately.

•             Handles complex operational tasks and recommends processing and technology changes

•             Analyzes complex performance and capacity issues with systems / applications software and/or application components.

•             Strong ability to work collaboratively with IT staff on development, troubleshooting, and other technical efforts

•             Performs software architecture and systems design

•             Create innovative solution to add value to existing process

•             Maintains knowledge of emerging technologies.

•             Ability to work effectively and accurately 

•             Work with minimal supervision

•             Able to work 2pm to 10pm to cover the pricing cycle, start of batch processing, and hand off to offshore partners.

           

Required Skills: 

•             2 plus years working with SunGard’s Omni DC Recordkeeping System

•             2 plus years working in the Defined Contribution industry

•             Experience working in a mainframe environment, including knowledge of JCL, VSAM, IBM utilities, etc

•             Strong proficiency with COBOL, OS/JCL, VSAM, IBM utilities, Mainframe Sort, CA7

•             Strong proficiency in the SunGard's Omni DC package

•             Strong proficiency with Omni DC transaction and batch processing

•             Proficiency in developing with OmniScript and/or COBOL within a main frame environment

•             Proficiency with Omni DC integration including report strings and standard output files

•             Proficiency with OmniStation

•             Testing experience with Omni DC

•             Demonstrates strong oral and written communication skills

•             Handles complex operational tasks and recommends processing and technology changes

•             Ability to work with multiple business partners in a production support and/or development role

•             Ability to pursue optimal technical system solutions

•             Detailed oriented and collaborative

 

 

Desired Skills:

•             Proficiency with Omni Adminweb (OmniManager)

•             Proficiency with Omni DC core code modules

•             Proficiency with OmniAPI (Omni Connect) and Transaction Modeling a plus

•             Proficiency with mainframe DB2 & CICS

•             Proficiency with OmniPay and payment processes

•             Proficiency with OmniTrade and trading platforms
