Role: Oracle PL/SQL Developer with Unix/Linux Shell scripting exp.

Responsibilities:
Unix/Linux Shell scripting, Oracle, SQL, PL/SQL Unix/Linux Shell scripting, Oracle, SQL, PL/SQL
• Prior experience on Unix/Linux shell scripting, Oracle, SQL, PL/SQL. Tibco BW is good to have.
• Expert in Unix/Linux shell scripting; write shell scripting for reporting, , process monitoring, application maintenance, applying patching, debugging existing scripts, developing new automated utilities
• Knowledge on applying patches , creating war or jar files, and basic idea on tcserver, apache webserver logs
• Good Knowledge on Oracle/SQL database, handling sequences, DDL/DMSs and activities like trouble shooting table space errors, privileges errors and performance tuning
• Good to have knowledge on Tibco Business works: analyzing Tibco application issues , fixing/testing Tibco application defects and developing new Tibco code for new business requirements.
• Monitoring Control-M jobs , analyzing the job logs, working with production control team to minimize the production environment outage
• Managing environment; restarting application servers and web servers, fixing space issues, deploying code , testing environments.
• Financial domain knowledge required, preferably investment and corporate actions knowledge. BaNCS knowledge will be a good add On

Provides technical leadership and coordinates all implementation efforts with supplier developers
Work with business and business system analysts to understand requirements for enhancements and production problem areas.
Perform expert level system analysis, design, development, and implementation of applications and databases.
Have very strong experience in development, deployment and production support of VB .NET application with Oracle and DB2 databases ,stored procedures and TIBCO messaging.
Should quickly grasp existing system architecture and support all technical initiatives related to servers, databases.
Performs code reviews and collaborates with other Vanguard technical leads/SME when necessary.
Participate in security architecture reviews and risk assessments and resolve any issues identified.
Collaborates with Product Test Engineer and Business to resolve issues and ambiguities that may come up during development. Automate testing wherever possible.
Monitor application in production, resolve production incidents and perform production support activities.
Provide production support during code deployment, software patches, database/server upgrades or changes.
Participate in Kanban, technical integration meetings and other collaborative meetings as needed.
Work with Project manager for project and delivery planning.
