Position summary:
Assign project roles to InfoSphere DataStage suite users in the InfoSphere DataStage Administrator client
Use the Administrator client to create delete and configure projects
Issue server engine commands
Use the Designer client to create and edit jobs and other objects
Use the Director client to run and schedule jobs
View the entire job log messages
Import objects into protected projects
Change the work load manager WLM settings for InfoSphere Data Click
Ensures that the Datastage platform in relation with the appropriate network database management and server,operating system integration is performant and available
In partnership with the Architecture function reviews current programming standards providing recommendations ensuring that the standards are being followed with specific emphasis on nonfunctional requirements such as performance logging recoverability etc
Partners with Analysts and Architects to ensure system and application blueprints architectural diagrams and schematics are uptodate and accurate
Performs code reviews providing mentoring and ensuring standards are being maintained
Responds to support requests and incidents per stated service agreements
Rebuilding or fixing the corrupted projects using the sync project command Maintenance of the various filesystems used by the datastage Installation of the datastage patches and working on the roll back activity
Perform proactive analysis of repetitive issues Perform RCA analysis for Sev 1 2 incidents and permanent resolution
Invests in tooling and automation Enhancing the productivity of developers on the platform
Partners with developer groups to ensure application functionality and data integrate securely effectively and efficiently with other applications
Participates within disaster recovery testing ensuring the disaster recovery plans are updated and maintained
Provides technical mentoring and consultation to other application development staff
Partners with vendors to ensure appropriate data and system integration for upgrades and implementations
Drive Proof of Concept POC and Proof of TechnologyPOT evaluation on technology platforms as applicable
Change Data Capture knowledge and handson
