Job Description

•        Around 8+ years of demonstrated experience in development, testing, tuning, and support of IBM Cognos BI applications

•        At least 3+ years’ experience in Full cycle of Cognos implementations, with at-least one large scale implementation as Cognos Technical Lead.

 

The IBM Cognos Developer will be part of our IBM practice, participates in all aspects of requirements, data architectural design and development involving appropriate architectural and methodological techniques. In addition need to be responsible in understanding and documenting the requirements for Cognos initiatives, assisting in software selection, implementation and establishment of governance processes around the same.

Position Activities and Tasks

•        Experience in Cognos BI (Framework Manager, Report Studio, Query Studio), Metric Studio, Analysis Studio and TM1

•        Very good experience in databases like SQL Server, Oracle and other RBDMS.

•        Sound knowledge and experience in design and development of reports, scorecards and dashboards

•        Able to design cubes in TM1 and/or Transformer and integrate with Cognos BI

•        Worked in report migration projects like Crystal Reports to Cognos or Business Objects to Cognos

•        Must have good knowledge on Data warehouse, Data modeling and  ETL concepts

•        Detail requirements gathering/elicitation and conduct requirements gathering workshops with client

•        Excellent understanding on Cognos Architecture

•        Experience in supporting pre-sales, leading solution design and proposal presentations

•        Independently lead consulting engagements

•        Articulate and create functional design document

•        Ready to travel onsite (if needed) for short term and long term durations
