Job Roles / Responsibilities:   

The Scala/Akka Developer will be responsible for playing an instrumental role in building out scalable and robust back-end systems in Scala/Akka serving web applications for a technically demanding/impactful project in the financial sector. 

• Experience with Scala/Akka in production environment is preferred
• Proficient in functional programming concepts and reactive programming principles
• Learn and master the Typesafe Reactive Platform (Scala, Akka, and Play)
• Work with the team's architect to set and enforce clear guidelines for best practices, test coverage, and recommend design patterns
• Thrive in a faced-paced team environment, working closely with client stakeholders in the finance industry
• Hands-on experience in continuous integration & continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipeline
