About the Role:
We are looking for a Sr. Cloud Engineer focused on GCP to help build out cloud infrastructure and platforms to ensure best practices are being followed for our applications and infrastructure supporting media workflows and broadcast events such as World Cup and the Super Bowl. The Cloud Engineering team will work closely with multiple teams and disciplines across the enterprise to conceptualize, build and integrate solutions and services to support the challenging real-time requirements of the media/broadcast business. About the You (optional):
The ideal candidate will be a big believer in Everything as Code and have a passion for security and continuous improvement, bringing these to bear to solve operations problems. Media and/or broadcast experience are a huge plus. We are looking for strong written and in-person communication and a self-starter that can identify and solve problems early on and help mentor less senior members of the team.
Responsibilities:
Design and implement security and governance policies as they relate to cloud infrastructure
Design and build out shared cloud infrastructure services with a high degree of automation
Assist other teams with pull request feedback and approvals for creation of cloud infrastructure
Create Terraform modules to make adhering to best practices easy
Work with teams across the organization to troubleshoot cloud-related issues
Mentor less senior members of the team
Serve as a point of escalation for GCP-related issues
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
BS in a related field or equivalent experience
5 years working with a major cloud provider and at least 2 years working with GCP
2 years working with Terraform
Preferred Skills and or Experience:
Terraform
GCP IAM & general security
GCP VPC & general networking
Git and pull requests
Jenkins or comparable deployment automation
ServiceNow
Configuration Management (Chef, Ansible, etc)
Ability to prioritize and complete tasks
