Education
and Experience »
- 8 or
more years of experience, relies on experience and judgment to plan and
accomplish goals, independently performs a variety of complicated tasks, a
wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected
- Experience
with Microsoft Server administration and desktop operating systems
- Experience
supporting MS Windows Server, especially version 2012
- Experience
with wireless networking
- Experience
in SQL Server; database design, T-SQL, stored procedures and views
- Experience
with security scanning (Nessus preferred)

- Ability

Job
Responsibilities »
- Play
a key role in the design, planning, execution and installation of the
current infrastructure to support new applications and technologies
- Responsible
for management and support of VMware vCenter, Windows Server systems, and
server applications, and provide technical leadership to migrate existing
servers to State and cloud server hosting providers
- Support
existing Active Directory and provide technical leadership to project to
migrate Active Directory to the Wisconsin enterprise Active Directory
- Provide
advanced-level Windows workstation support to augment desktop support
staff skill sets and assist in automation of workstation system support
- Responsible
for backup integrity and recovery coordination and planning. Must have
extensive experience with standard industry practices including a variety
of server types, clustering, and load balancing techniques. Possess
considerable logic and understanding to analyze and troubleshoot problems
- Prioritize
trouble calls and respond to emergencies and all levels of troubleshooting
