Job Title: Sr. Cloud Engineer
Location: Remote

Middleware/Cloud Engineer position will need to have a broad
knowledge of systems and middleware, with the ability to quickly learn new and
unfamiliar technologies. Being a part of this growing team, this person will be
responsible for regular on-call shifts for 24x7 systems support and need to
troubleshoot and fix problems in a timely manner at all hours of the day or
night. The Middleware/Cloud Engineer will be an integral part in the day-to-day
operations and planning for the future of our infrastructure. The
Middleware/Cloud Engineer will help lead the infrastructure team in both design
and implementation. The ability to mentor the other engineers on the
infrastructure team is paramount to the success of this position.
Responsibilities:
- Expert level experience with Mulesoft and middleware
software with the ability to provide recommendations on the correct
configuration along with the skills to implement the solutions.
- Participate in the decision making process to establish
a solid HA solution for all middleware and systems spanning multiple
datacenters.
- Monitoring of Mulesoft middleware and providing
recommendations on necessary modification/ enhancements to ensure
performance meets SLA.
- Expertise in AWS with industry experience using AWS
services
- Experience with AWS Security (IAM, Security Groups,
KMS, etc)
- Ability to design high availability applications on AWS
across Availability Zones and Regions
- Provide Critical Interface for DevOps Engineering and
Internal Development for application delivery solutions for various and
multiple projects with emphasis on Agile Delivery on SDLC.
- Hands-On Experience with Jenkins in Production
Environment for building and managing highly automated, secure, highly
available multi-tier solutions using a wide array of CI/CD model.
- Install and configure systems which support
infrastructure and/or R&D activities.
- Solid foundation experience in GIT, Artifactory,
uDeploy, Sonatype, SonarQube or similar and experience in build tools
(Ant, Maven, Gradle, etc.).
- Solid background with Cloud AWS EC2.
- Will provide solid experience on building automation
infrastructure for CI/CD platform
- Provide expertise with ELK Stack Technology for
centralized logging and smart logs analytics
- Deliver Containerization Infrastructure and Orchestration
Platform (Docker & Kubernetes Preferred)
- Understanding of agile development processes and how
organizations adopt and implement those processes with good experience
with Linux and proficiency with scripting languages (Shell, Python)
- Research and recommend innovative, and where possible,
automated approaches for system administration tasks. Identify approaches
that leverage resources.
- Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the
integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems and
key processes, reviewing system and application logs, and verifying
completion of scheduled jobs such as backups.
- Perform daily system monitoring of Physical and Virtual
Instances (KVM, VMware) Infrastructure
- Provide expertise on application stack troubleshooting
to include apache, tomcat, nginx and opensource software modules for
failures. Coordinate and communicate to stakeholders.
- Install and maintain security patches on the
operational and development system.
- Upgrade and configure system software that supports
infrastructure applications or Asset Management applications per project
or operational needs.
- Perform ongoing performance tuning, hardware upgrades,
and resource optimization as required. Configure CPU, memory, and disk
partitions as required.
- Participate in the design and implementation of systems
orchestration using Kubernetes
- Contribute to and maintain security posture of the
system in accordance with TAB’s security policies.
- Other duties as assigned.
Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Science, MIS, Computer
Science, or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination
of education or technical training.
- 10+ years of related IT experience.
- 3+ years of Mulesoft
configuration/monitoring/implementation
- 5+ years managing and maintaining production using
DevOps Processes on Open Source environment
- 1+ years Kubernetes or container experience.
- Professional certifications, as appropriate are
preferred
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Requirements:
- Knowledge of Containerization Technology (Docker,
Kubernetes, & CoreOS)
- Hands-on experience with computer networks, network
administration and network installation.
- Ability to provide exceptional customer service to
internal and external customers.
- Knowledge of virtualization whether provided by VMWare,
Microsoft, Red Hat or others, provides a hardware abstraction layer that
enables an administrator full control over their hardware.
- Solid Expertise with Automation DevOps Tools with CI/CD
Platform Jenkins, Ansible, Puppet, and Chef
- Application Delivery using container orchestration
platform Kubernetes (Preferred)
- Knowledge of data administration principles and
techniques
- Knowledge of network administration
- Ability to coordinate and implement data exchanges and
conversions
- Knowledge of ITIL process and procedures
- Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills in
working with users to interpret needs and provide appropriate solutions
