Position: DevOps Architect
Location: Lowell, MA
Duration: 6+ month contract position
Position Description:
Our client is looking for a DevOps Engineer to help support product engineering by:
- Providing technical guidance and leadership in the construction of a new build environment to host a large system composed of many subsystems including a Linux based distribution, open source packages and proprietary components
- overseeing the source code management system
- automating build framework and automated regression testing from framework
- developing and coordinating an overall build hierarchy
- crafting tools and monitoring used in software deployments
- coordinating publishing of build artifacts, RPMs, ISOs, etc.
Must haves:
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field
Experience with GitLab as a configuration management tool
Experience working on a Linux platform
Experience with Docker and building containers
Experience with scripting using Bash, Python or similar
Experience designing and building out a DevOps environment
Nice to haves:
Master’s Degree in Computer Science or higher
Experience with Slush, Kubernetes, SonarQube and/or Semantic Versioning
Additional Requirements:
Must be able to pass a background check and drug test
