Job Description:

 

Title: Cassandra Administrator

Location: Alpharetta, GA

Duration: 1 year

 

Only EAD – OPT/H4/L2/E3

 

Key Roles and Responsibilities

•           Design, configure and automate Cassandra database clusters.

•           Provide operational support large Cassandra clusters.

•           Performance tuning Cassandra ring

•           Perform upgrades, backups, recovery, migration, etc.

•           Interacting with (and implementing) Prometheus/Grafana

Required Qualifications

•           BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience required

•           2+ Years’ Experience operating large scale Azure Iaas implementations

•           5+ years of experience in database administration and data integration in large corporate environment

•           4+ years of experience in building, planning, tuning, administer and supporting Cassandra database and database cluster nodes

•           Strong experience in Cassandra/NO SQL data modelling.

•           Strong Experience handling/managing large Cassandra clusters.

•           Must have experience in relational SQL and NO SQL databases.

•           Extensive design and development experience on Casandra with implementation knowledge on cloud (Azure/AWS Cloud Platform)

•           Hands-on experience in performance tuning Cassandra ring

•           Strong Experience handling common database procedures, such as upgrades, backups, recovery,migration, etc.

•           Proficient in scripting languages and automation.

•           Experience with infrastructure automation tools like Ansible

Preferred Qualifications

•           Experience in Presto, Zeppelin reporting tools

•           Experience in Docker, Kubernetes and other container orchestration

•           Certification in Cassandra Administration/Development

•           CosmosDB experience
