Job Description :

Scope:

In the development in Back Office System (BOS) Telnet Drawdown project. This project will deactivate the remaining BOS Telnet functionality.  Currently there are about 133 Telnet screens and 175 End User Computer (EUC) applications that paint/scrape data from Telnet screens. Creating replacement business functionality in a modern JAVA based architecture is the main work that will be conducted in this project, however we will seize opportunities to improve and better the business where possible. This role will be primarily responsible for working with development teams to build out UIs and REST services that will allow associates to interact with Back Office system. Developers will work with on team Business Analysts, Product Owners and QA to deliver modern solutions to move TDAs Back Office forward .

 Project Success Metrics:

Help the team develop solutions that meet the business needs, allowing associates to successfully complete their work interfacing with the new system.

Challenge the team to build a better or more efficient solution

Collaborate with direct members of your team and members on other teams to ensure everyone is on the same page.

Responsibilities

Main Accountability 1:  System and product design.

Performs product design tasks of a moderate to high complexity which require research and analysis.

Perform system design and specification development, program logic and flow-charting, architect application security, testing, debugging, and documentation with full awareness of cost/benefit, risk and performance.

Works independently and with supervisory review on moderate programming tasks.

Provides analysis of problems and recommends solutions.  

Prepares program specifications and develops coding logic flowcharts in compliance with secure coding standards.

Main Accountability 2: Execute solutions.

Participates in client interactions, possibly with more senior team members, to develop system solutions to business problems.

Works within established procedures and tools to develop, test, validate security features, code review, implement, and maintain application software while focusing on best practice application security throughout the code life-cycle.

Main Accountability 3: Provide leadership to more junior associates.

Mentors more junior developers.

May lead projects as needed
