There is a new job description. Sr DevOps Cloud Engineer o Responsibilities:
§ Design, Develop and Implement cloud solutions on AWS/Azure .
§ Accountable for the quality development of enabling automation, application development, infrastructure development and overall IT service improvement.
§ Manage CI & CD tools and pipeline as a partner to development teams
§ Assess, deploy, and manage a number of infrastructure management tools including infrastructure optimization and orchestration solutions
§ Build integrations with cloud monitoring/alerting systems and processes
§ Produce technical specifications for custom development and systems integration requirements
§ Take a lead, design, develop and implement Proof-of-Concepts for automation and CICD technologies to support the cloud infrastructure including server, storage, network, and security.
§ Providing guidance and direction in regard to Cloud implementation, DevOps processes and technical/pipeline standards o
Requirements:
§ Thorough knowledge and understanding of current Cloud Computing technologies, strategies, solutions, assessment methodologies, planning techniques, technologies, and methods
§ Experience with programming and infrastructure automation and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) (e.g., Terraform, Cloud Formation, Azure Resource Templates)
§ Experience with automation in dynamic environments such as IaaS and PaaS (on premises, hosted and hybrid).
§ Strong Experience with CICD tools (e.g. Jenkins )
§ Experience with container-based applications and tools (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes)
§ Experience with configuration management tools (e.g Ansible, Chef)
§ Practical experience developing software or meeting operational needs with code and script (JavaScript, Python, Java and PowerShell).
§ Understanding of common failure patterns in cloud / distributed systems
§ Good working knowledge of Big Data technologies such as Hadoop, Hive, Spark
§ Effective relationship building and leadership skills across divisional and departmental organizational structures to accomplish enterprise wide goals
§ Ability to work across all layers of an application, from back-end databases through UI
§ Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience implementing DevOps/CICD cloud solutions on Enterprise environments
• Mandatory – Hands on experience implementing solutions with MS Azure/Amazon AWS, e.g. VMs, Applications (Serverless/Web apps), VPC/VNet, Networking, Security, Monitoring
• Mandatory – Hands on experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code
• Mandatory – Hands on experience with CICD tools, in depth experience with Jenkins
o Preferred Skills & Qualifications:
§ Azure Certified Professional / AWS Certification highly preferred
§ Demonstrated ability to adapt to new technologies and learn quickly
§ Ability to identify and articulate sources of customer value from data & advanced analytics. Ability to create roadmaps and decompose phases and steps to realize value.
