Role: QA Engineer

Duration: 7 MONTHS

Location: Person must be within the local Hartford CT area or within a 3 hour drive

USC or Permanent Resident Green Card only

Pay Rate is 60

Skills (EXPERT/ADVANCED):

JavaScript

Test Scripts

Questions (must be YES to ALL):

 Are they a US citizen or Green Card holder?

Are you willing to work onsite in Hartford CT the majority of the time?

Description:

Collaborate with QA/Test Lead, to refine the overall test strategy which will address user story level testing, integration, security, performance, regression, and user acceptance testing


• Scrum Team member; participates in Sprint Planning and estimation, Daily Scrum, product development/testing, Sprint demo(s), Sprint retrospectives, keeping Jira updated, creation of necessary Agile/ software documentation artifacts.

Deliverables:

• Create Test Plans, Test Cases, and acquire/create test data
• Execute testing, review and document results, and track defect resolution (within Jira)
• Provide test status reporting to project and client management 

Acceptance:

Experience in most of the following technologies:

Current Technologies:  UI: (Typescript Vue.js, Sass), JavaScript, Echarts,  WebServer (NGINX), Core App (Java8), APIs (Java, Go 1.10.3, Python 3), ETL/Analytics:  Hortonworks, Hive/Hbase, NiFi, Livvy, Spark, Python 3, Jupyter, Oracle DB, Azure Gov Cloud   DevOps: Jenkins, Git, Dockers, Kubernetes, Testing (Robot, JavaScript)
Future State Technologies: Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake, Data Bricks, Cosmos DB, Azure SQL Data warehouse (Polybase), Azure API Management, Azure Data Catalog
