position summary:

The Technical Lead will be responsible for enhancing and maintaining the core platform, mentor

team members, troubleshoot issues, collaborate with product owners, complete code reviews.

Specifically, the Technical Lead will need to:

• Be competent in communication.
• Ability to work and collaborate with Technical Managers and Product Owners.
• Efficient in the Scrum Agile methodology.
• Ability present platform designs in front of design review panel
• Coordinate work with the team while managing his own work.
• Ability to provide integration analysis and recommendations to service providers who are implementing services for the Paydiant platform
• Guide and help junior resources with the established core technologies
• Do R&D on new integration technologies
• Deliver realistic implementation schedules, and adherence to development goals and principles.
• Identify project risks and work effectively to mitigate them.
• Lead product initiatives, and recommend improvements.
• Find and help fix security/stability/scalability issues in a very time critical environment.
• Support project rollouts and be available to resolve issues.

Basic Qualifications

• Candidates must meet the following minimum requirements in order to be considered:

Required Technologies

• Spring Core
• Spring Integration
• Hibernate
• Message Brokers (RabbitMQ)
• Ehcache

Other Qualifications

•  A Bachelor’s degree in a computer related field
•  Prior experience in working with large systems
•  Proficient in designing, coding highly available, scalable, reliable services. Emphasis will be on concurrency, performance web standards, service orientation
•  Proficient in Java programming
•  Work in a team environment with a globally distributed team.
•  Assist in producing technical documentation, review them with wide audience including managers, product manager, architects and professional services
•  Knowledge of common data structures and design patterns.
•  Knowledge of Financial Services
•  Excellent problem analysis and solving skills
•  Tools: Eclipse, Maven, GIT, Jenkins, Junit, Splunk, SOAP UI, etc

•  Communicate effectively with various stakeholders
•  Work with cross-functional teams
•  Team player; ability to interface and build relations at all levels internally and externally
•  Strong presence and consulting confidence

Experience

• 3+ years of experience with Payments (Credit Card, Banking), especially with ecommerce systems, payment gateways and payment processors is highly valued.
• Ability to translate requirements into detailed design documents.
• Ability to analyse strategic objectives and define specific tactical goals required to achieve

them.

Educational Requirements

• Bachelor degree in computer science.
• 5+ years of experience with three or more major programming languages (C++, Objective-C, C#, Java, JavaScript, Ruby, Perl, .NET, PHP, Python).
• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal in English.
