Lots of girls get into porn with a bottle of lube, a nice smile, great
tits and dreams of making it big in the jizz biz. Some succeed, most
do not. Ashlynn Brooke is one porn star that not only succeeded but
landed a contract from two of the biggest studios in porn, Digital Sin
and New Sensations. Ashlynn Brooke entered porn knowing she wanted a
contract and is now on the fast track to become even bigger than she
is now. With a down home personality and a face and body men would
kill for, Ashlynn Brooke is the next porn star to hail from the state
of Oklahoma. In this interview with XRentDVD's Big D, Ashlynn Brooke
discusses her desire for a contract from day one, getting recognized
in the airport and her desire to be the 'Brett Favre of porn'.

Big D: I heard that you were fascinated with porn at a very young age.
You started nude modeling that eventually led to parts in pro-am type
porn. What attracted you to porn that you wanted to get into it at
such a young age?

Ashlynn Brooke: Growing up I lived with my grandparents. We had a
DirecTV satellite system and we had one of those illegal chips that
you could watch all the movies and all the channels no matter what.
One day I was flipping through the channels and I came across the
Playboy channel. It happened to be one of the first Debbie Does Dallas
movies and it was one of the older ones. I watched it differently. I
didn't watch it like it was supposed to turn me on, although it did,
but I watched it critically. I thought if I was that girl I would do
this or if I was that girl I would do that. I watched more from a
business standpoint. When you see something you like and you know that
you like it, you just know that is what you want to do.

Big D: Having that much of an interest in porn and sexual situations,
were you a little more sexually adventurous growing up?

Ashlynn Brooke: Kind of, yeah. I wasn't really a slut or anything but
I was very open with my sexuality. If I had a relationship with a guy
or whatever I was very open and I liked to try new things. I started
having sex a very young age. I started having sex after I just turned
14. It was something I didn't want to wait for. I knew that I wanted
to go ahead and get into it.

Big D: So how did you make the leap from being your everyday, average
girl living in Oklahoma to becoming a porn star to the point you are
now the newest contract girl for New Sensations?

Ashlynn Brooke: There are some friends of mine in Oklahoma that
started an agency doing photography. They came to my house one night
and it turned out to be my very first nude photo shoot ever. I just
felt like I was in the right place doing the nude photography. From
there I flew to California that following February to do a photo shoot
for Easy Rider Magazine and Gallery Magazine. During that trip and in
talking to people and telling them that this is what I would like to
do, they told me that nude modeling is okay but if I really wanted to
make my mark, nude modeling can only take you so far. I am always
looking to better myself and take that next step up. I thought about
it for a while and I got on the internet one day and I found my agency
out of Florida. I contacted them and about two weeks later I was in
Fort Lauderdale, Fla. I got very lucky that I met a great agent and he
helped me through and the rest is history. I went down there only
planning on doing girl/girl scenes and I was only going to do this and
I was only going to do that. I realized that I finally have the chance
to step out and do whatever I wanted to do so I might as well take
that chance. I am really glad that I did.

Big D: You said you can go only so far doing nude modeling. With that
in mind, making the jump from nude stills to full fledged hardcore
porn is quite a leap. Were you a bit nervous about making that jump
seeing how once you start doing hardcore porn it is hard to turn back
the hands of time if you don't like it?

Ashlynn Brooke: You are exactly right. I had a great agent and great
friends when I was making that transition. When I decided to make that
leap I was VERY nervous. I was wondering, 'what are people going to
think? What is going to happen?'. That lasted about five minutes
(laughs) and I finally snapped to my senses. I am not the type person
that cares all too much about what people think of me. If I am doing
what I want to do, either they are going to like me or they are not. I
was nervous. Very, very nervous. My first scene went very, very well.
I then realized that I am now what I wanted to be when I was watching
this stuff on TV. The nerves then calmed but I was nervous at first.

Big D: In today's day and age, it is rare for a girl's first sex scene
in porn to end up on DVD. More than likely it ended up on a website.
Do you know where that scene ended up and who did you work with?

Ashlynn Brooke: It did end up on the internet for an amateur site for
Bang Bros. It was for Big Mouthfuls which is a swallowing site. That
was very weird because typically girls do not do their first porn
scenes as a swallowing scene. I really like the company and they were
very cool. It was shot originally for the internet site but I think
they have since released it on DVD. (Big Mouthfuls #12)

Big D: So from that experience did you move from Oklahoma to Florida
because that was where your agency was located and a lot of the work
was being done?

Ashlynn Brooke: I did. I did about two or three scenes before I
returned home. I was home for about three days and I decided that I
really couldn't do anything from here. So I moved back and I would
come back here and visit for the holidays but I lived in Miami for
seven months.

Big D: Have you relocated to Southern California yet or is that in the
works?

Ashlynn Brooke: Not yet. It is still in the works and I am not quite
sure when that is going to happen. I am sure it will happen pretty
soon.

Big D: Coming from Oklahoma, moving to Florida and visiting California
to work on adult DVDs, was that a bit of culture shock for you? I grew
up in Southern California but lived in Oklahoma for over fours years.
It was a major change for me to go from here to there. How was it for
you to go from Oklahoma to a faster paced lifestyle and atmosphere
like Miami or California?

Ashlynn Brooke: Oklahoma is just so calm and slow and patient. It is
very small town. You have to drive at least 45 minutes to get to the
nearest big city. Everything elsewhere is cramped and so busy that it
was kind of overwhelming. As far as the culture, it was not that big
of a shock. I am a pretty open minded person and I love learning about
new things and meeting new people. I will say that the places are very
different.

Big D: Girls in porn come from all over but mostly they get their
start on one of the coasts either in Florida or in California. You
wouldn't think that Oklahoma would produce porn stars but there are
some notable girls that are Okies. Jesse Jane the contract star for
Digital Playground lives in between Oklahoma City and Norman on a
ranch. Bianca Pureheart is from Oklahoma. Stacy Valentine is now
retired but she is from Tulsa. Jeanette Littledove is another porn
star originally from Oklahoma. You wouldn't think that a place like
Oklahoma would produce that many porn stars.

Ashlynn Brooke: It is really funny because when I first went to
Florida and California I kept telling the people there they really
should scout out more girls from Oklahoma. I heard all the time, 'we
can't believe that someone that looks like you would come from
Oklahoma.' I would tell them that they need to just go there and there
are about a million girls that look like me. Everyone I meet is
really, really pretty. Maybe it is what I am just used to. Oklahoma
has produced a lot of stars not just porn stars. We have produced rock
bands and singers and a lot of people do not know that.

Big D: You've been in porn for a short time, about six months, and you
recently signed your contract with Digital Sin and New Sensations. How
did that come about after being in for a very short time?

Ashlynn Brooke: It was my goal from the very beginning to eventually
have a contract. I didn't expect it to happen so soon. I was having my
agent put it out there that I was looking for a contract. It happened
at this past AVN Awards Show. I was actually supposed to do a scene
while I was there (Las Vegas) but that eventually got canceled. I then
got on the phone with my agent and he told me that I needed to meet
him because he had Scott and Rene from Digital Sin and New Sensations
and they want to meet me. I didn't really think that much of it at the
time. I just thought they wanted to meet me to book me for a shoot. I
met Scott and immediately we both knew that this would be it. We put
the contract on the table. We put my limitations on the table. It took
about a month to get it done. After that I flew to Los Angeles and I
did my first scene with them. After that I told them I don't want to
work for anyone else. That's kind of how it happened. I was very
lucky.

Big D: What was so appealing about being on contract that you had your
agent actively shopping you around to get you on contract?

Ashlynn Brooke: A lot of the girls that get into porn will get in and
think they can make all this money. The money is very nice, don't get
me wrong. That's not why I am here. I am here because I love what I
do. I want stability. I want longevity. I want exposure. I think a
contract, especially with Digital Sin and New Sensations, would give
me that and put me in the right places. It eventually could lead to
other things like starting my own company. I just wanted the stability
to be sure that this is something I am going to do for the long run.

Big D: Coming on contract with Digital Sin and New Sensations is a
pretty big deal seeing how their last contract girl they had was
Carmen Luvana. Carmen is now on contract with Adam & Eve but her first
contract was with New Sensations. Those are some pretty famous
footsteps to follow in.

Ashlynn Brooke: I knew who Carmen Luvana was but I didn't know that
she was their first contract girl. I didn't know that until I did my
first scene with them. I did have other offers available to me but New
Sensations just has a plan for me and the plans that they have for the
company is everything that I wanted. They are right for me for making
the right business choices. As far as being the only contract girl,
that is another thing that I wanted. I didn't want to be a Vivid girl.
I wanted to be THE girl. I am not vain. I am not trying to sound like
I am conceited. It helps whenever you have more focus on one person.
With so many girls for one company it just seems too busy.

Big D: How has it been? Has being a contract girl been what you
expected it to be?

Ashlynn Brooke: It has been perfect. I couldn't have asked for
anything better. It literally is a blessing. It's exactly what I
wanted. I am very, very happy and pleased and comfortable with the
things we are going to do together. Before, without a contract, I was
working everyday. I was worried, 'am I going to get this or am I going
to get that.' Now I know and it is more of a comfort zone for me. I
have that experience under my belt and now I can start focusing on me
and what we can do together. I am so happy with my decision. I
couldn't have made a better decision in my life.

Big D: When you mentioned you were going over the details of the
contract you spoke of some of the limitations you were placing on
yourself. What are they and what are you saving for later and what is
out of the question for you right now?

Ashlynn Brooke: I do boy/girl, of course and I do girl/girl. I do
pretty much everything except anal and interracial. I would love to do
anal. I really, really would like to do it. I have tried in my
personal life. Everyone tells me it is something I would really enjoy
but I really can't get into it. If I can ever hammer that one out I
would really like to do it but I really don't see it happening right
now. In the future? Maybe.

Big D: In your time working on and off camera who are the people you
enjoy working with the most?

Ashlynn Brooke: I really enjoy working with Brea Bennett. I have been
in two or three of her features with Club Jenna. We work really well
together. She is a total sweetheart. I really love working with
really, anybody from Club Jenna. Male talent, of course I love working
with Erik Everhard. I like Manuel Ferrara. He is really cool. I am not
really picky. I like someone who is professional and they enjoy good
sex like I do. It is all about chemistry and those are the people I
have good chemistry with.

Big D: Is it hard to establish that chemistry with another performer?
Do you need to build up that chemistry before the cameras start
rolling or can that chemistry be achieved while you are working
together?

Ashlynn Brooke: Oh hell, I'll talk to anybody. I like to strike up
conversations. Before the scene, I love to have conversations with who
I am going to work with to kind of get a feel for if they mesh with my
personality or not. I am not a quiet person at all. Sometimes it comes
before and sometimes it comes during. It really depends on them.

Big D: Before you signed your contract with Digital Sin and New
Sensations did you have any experiences that might have taken you out
of porn? What I mean is, did you ever have some days where you were
questioning if this was the right decision to go into hardcore porn?

Ashlynn Brooke: In general, the whole industry experience was exactly
what I wanted to do. Of course in any situation you are going to be
placed in a spot where you absolutely do not want to be. You know
those situations where you are asking, 'what they hell is this? You're
kidding. I really have to do this now?' It's your job. It's what you
do. You've got to suck it up and do it. I've never regretted anything
about my career. I would never change that. But, yes, there were those
situations where I was thinking I will just need to suck it up and get
through it.

Big D: You mentioned that while growing up you lived with your
grandparents. Have you been able to shelter them from your choice to
become a porn star? I am sure every girl dreads the day they have to
tell their grandmother they take dick on camera for a living. Did you
discuss getting into porn with them before you started or did they
find out on their own or do they not even know you are now one of the
hottest porn stars out there today?

Ashlynn Brooke: I never tried to shield them from what I do. I
actually told my mom and dad first. Although they didn't raise me, I
still have a pretty good friendship with them. I told my mom and she
told me to go for it and she supports me 100 percent. My dad's
reaction was that he wished I would do something different but I am
his daughter and he loves me no matter what. My grandparents didn't
take it lightly. We are family and we have been through a lot
together. We have a very strong bond. They support me no matter what I
do. I am not going to do something that I am going to be ashamed of.
If I was going to put myself in a situation where I was going to have
to hide it, I am not going to do that. If I am going to do something,
I am not going to be ashamed of it and everyone is going to know. If
you like it, you will like it. If you don't…. it is what it is. My
family is very supportive.

Big D: Obviously family and friends are cool with what you do but have
you encountered anyone that has given you a hard time about choosing
to be a porn star? Have you ever had to defend your decision or had to
defend the porn industry?

Ashlynn Brooke: Besides having to explain it to family and friends, I
haven't had to do a whole lot of explaining to outsiders. I haven't
run into anybody that has degraded me for it. I know there are those
people out there. Of course you have gone to school with people who
catch wind of that you are now in porn and they say things like, 'what
a slut' or 'what a whore', blah, blah, blah. Those are people who I
don't even talk to and they don't matter. As far as running into
someone at the airport or anyone that I run into and they recognize
me, they are totally cool with it. I haven't had to defend it yet in
that aspect.

Big D: Is it weird that you have only been doing porn for about six
month and you are already getting recognized in random places like the
airport or other everyday places?

Ashlynn Brooke: It's weird but it is so cool. I can't think of
anything cooler. I didn't really think that many people would pay
attention. It really does happen mostly at the airport. I don't know
what it is about the airport but it does happen a lot there. It really
is neat to know that people know who I am and respect me for what I
do. That is my whole goal.

Big D: How long is your contract for and what does the future hold for
Ashlynn Brooke? Porn stars and athletes are on the same level where
they can't play and perform forever so what kind of plans do you have
for yourself after you are done performing for the camera?

Ashlynn Brooke: People always make fun of me for saying this but I am
a huge football fan. My goal is to be the Brett Favre of porn.
(laughs) You know, because he is going on his eighteenth straight
season. He has been playing forever so I mentioned that since you said
athletes can't play forever. I would like to perform on screen for a
while and with my contract, getting that exposure to help me start
something of my own. I have a few different ideas that I think will do
very well. In the future there are things happening as far as cable TV
is getting more and more censorship. I have plans in my head and I do
plan on being here for the long run.

Big D: First job?

Ashlynn Brooke: Of course like most people, my first job was at a
restaurant. My main first job was that I ran a used car lot for three
years.

Big D: First concert?

Ashlynn Brooke: George Strait

Big D: First car?

Ashlynn Brooke: 1992 Red Pontiac Grand Am two-door.

Big D: What's in your CD player or iPod right now?

Ashlynn Brooke: In my iPod I have a mix of everything. I have
everything from bluegrass to Christian Rock to rap to regular Rock to
Heavy Metal. Just about everything.

Big D: Favorite food?

Ashlynn Brooke: Mexican food

Big D: First porn you ever watched?

Ashlynn Brooke: It was a movie at a friend's house called Taboo. My
friend's mom had it.

Big D: Favorite position?

Ashlynn Brooke: Doggy style

Big D: Go to the movies or go to the ballgame?

Ashlynn Brooke: Ballgame any day.

Big D: What modern convenience can you not live without?

Ashlynn Brooke: TV or my phone. That's a tough one.

Big D: Favorite mainstream movie?

Big D: Favorite vacation spot?

Ashlynn Brooke: I haven't been on vacation very many places but I
would have to say Miami.

Big D: Person you'd like to meet that you have not met?

Ashlynn Brooke: I am going to catch so much flack for this. Britney
Spears. She just intrigues me. I just want to know what she is
thinking. Following her career has been the most interesting thing. I
just want to know what is going through her head. I want to know what
kind of person she really is.
