Apologies for cross-posting

Dear US Open Gov colleagues,

On March 21, 2025, the OGP Support Unit received a letter of concern from eleven U.S. civil society organizations, followed by an addendum submitted on July 1, 2025 (see here). Together, these submissions formally triggered OGP’s Response Policy.

Following an initial review, the Support Unit determined that the concern meets the eligibility criteria for a valid Response Policy inquiry. This determination did not assess the merits of the concern.

In line with the Response Policy guidelines, the Support Unit is seeking a consultant to independently assess the veracity of the information provided in the letter of concern by cross-referencing it with information from the government, civil society, IRM researchers, and other third parties likely to have relevant information and informed views on the issues under review.

The deadline to apply is December 1, 2025. More details are available in the terms of reference here. Please feel free to share this opportunity with qualified experts in your networks.

Kind regards,
