Hello everyone,

Sunshine Week, the annual celebration focused on open government (primarily FOIA) that takes place near James Madison's birthday, is coming up soon. 

I wanted to flag Sunshine Fest 2026, a conference hosted by the Brechner Freedom of Information Project set for March 15-17 in Washington, D.C. Tickets for the event are sold out, but they will live stream the three plenary sessions and you can also join the waitlist.

In addition, there's a calendar of Sunshine Week events related to FOIA on their website.
