FYI, the US OGP announced it published updates on the status of commitments made as part of the 5th national action plan.

Also note GSA published the notes and materials from its meeting with civil society on February 5. There will be another public session in April.

Hello U.S. Open Government Community,

       We are pleased to announce that you can now find updates for all 70 Sub-Commitments included in the U.S. 5th Open Government National Action Plan (NAP5) on the NAP5 Commitment Tracker on https://open.usa.gov.  In an effort to provide the public with greater transparency, this latest round of updates includes a few new fields like “Sub-Commitment Status” and a more detailed “Responsible Agency” and “Sub-Agency” information. You will also notice that the February 2024 updates are ‘stacked’ on top of the August 2023 updates to ensure the public continues to have access to previously provided status updates.

     In this February 2024 round of updates, 47% of the NAP5 Sub-Commitments are now marked as Complete, with the rest listed as In Progress. The one exception is Sub-Commitment 118.2 which has been delayed due to lack of required appropriations.

Also, we have publicly posted the notes and materials from our Monday February 5, 2024 hybrid session “Open Government Secretariat & Open Government Roundtable Civil Society Meeting” HERE. Thank you to everyone who attended! We are in the process of planning our next public session with the Data Foundation and the Open Gov Hub in late April, so be on the lookout for more information to come!

    Lastly, the GSA Open Government Secretariat is happy to announce that we have launched a new PUBLIC ListServ to help the public and civil society stay informed on various governmentwide Open Government updates and events. If you would like to continue to get emails like these, please join by:

1) Sending an email:

       To:  opengov-civ-su...@listserv.gsa.gov

       Subject: Join: OpenGov-Civ

       Body: { Blank no text }

2) Within 48 hours (but usually within a few minutes), you will receive an auto-generated email asking you to confirm your registration to the ListServ.

3) Respond to that email with "OK" as the body of the email.

4) You're all set! You will receive a confirmation email letting you know you have been added.

Thank you for your interest and support!

Sincerely,

GSA Open Government Secretariat
