Hello Everyone,

I'm Karna from Chennai, India. I’ve been in the US Medical Billing
industry for several years now and thought of having an open channel
of communication with people in the same domain. With this idea in
mind, have created this Google Group named 'US Medical Billing' to
enable professionals from different parts of the world who are
involved in the same industry to share any news, views, articles,
information, ideas, thoughts, knowledge and documents related to the
industry…

Hope to have all your support…

Thanks,
Karna (கர்ணா)

Hi everyone,

I would request you to utilize this group's potential and post any
queries or doubts which you might have on scheduling, coding, demo,
charge entry, billing, payment posting, AR analysis, credentialing,
insurance eligibility, benefits verification, AR calling etc in the
discussion forum. I'm sure that the experienced professionals, experts
and specialists who are members of the group will definitely share
their knowledge and contribute their answers, clarifications or
solutions to those posted questions.

Thanks,

What are the prospects in terms of Profitability for an outsourcing center to enter into this Business, if viable for contact centers amidst crisis.

Hello!
I'm hoping I am posting this right!
I'm a Collection Specialist for a small, rural hospital. I do a lot
of pre-registration as well for outpatient surgeries, MRI's and other
radiology test procedures. My question is on benefits verification.
We use WebDenis and PassportOneSource to verify benefits/copays for
these procedures, but I have found them to be quite inaccurate. Does
anyone have any other good sites to use? Is there any way to get a
more accurate estimate without calling the insurance company every
single time?
Thanks~
Angela

Hi Yatin,

As far as Healthcare BPO is concerned, the impact of the economic recession has been comparatively lesser than that on the other industries. Obviously, because Health Care is one factor in life which cannot be compromised much with and that's the reason it has been the top priority even for the President-elect Barack Obama since the beginning of his election campaign and his focus more on the largest industry in the US has been the major reason for his victory.

Services related to Health Care have an edge in the business forefront because of this not-so-volatile nature of the Healthcare industry. If you have the right approach towards this business backed by sufficient investment, managed and supported by the right people with good experience, efficiency, knowledge and required skill sets, then you will be on the right track for profitability in this Business, without any doubt.

Health care – two words – refers to the actions of individuals.

Healthcare – one word – is a system.

We need the second to work if we want the first.

- As quoted by Dr Deane Waldman in his blog 'Medical Malprocess'.

Hope this explanation brings some clarification...

Thanks,
Karna
