Role- Business Analyst(Pharma/Life Sciences)

Location- 100% Remote

Duration – 12+ months

 

Must-

  • Prioritize Pharma/Life Sciences Candidates-
  • Must have Pharmaceutical, Biotech, GxP, FDA, GMP, or 21 CFR Part 11 experience.
    Look for Manufacturing Operations + MES
    o Candidate should have worked with Manufacturing teams and MES systems (PAS-X, Syncade, Camstar, Opcenter, PharmaSuite, etc.).
    3. Strong BA Fundamentals Required
    o Requirements Gathering, User Stories, Acceptance Criteria, Process Flows, Stakeholder Workshops, BRD/FRD, and UAT ownership should be clearly visible.
    4. Validate SQL, Power BI, JIRA & Confluence
    o Candidate should demonstrate actual use of SQL/Power BI for reporting and JIRA/Confluence in Agile projects, not just list them in skills.
    5. Regulated Environment & Validation Experience is a Plus
    o Look for CSV, IQ/OQ/PQ, Traceability Matrix, Change Control, Audit Readiness, SAP integrations, and Quality/Manufacturing system validation experience.

    Quick Reject if candidate have only below skills:
    Clinical Data, Pharmacovigilance, or Drug Safety-only profiles with no Manufacturing or MES exposure.
  • As an IT Business Analyst , you'll contribute to bridging business needs with technology solutions to advance our mission of enabling customers to make the world healthier, cleaner, and safer. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze processes, gather requirements, and implement innovative solutions that drive operational efficiency. Working in an agile environment, you'll help define and document business requirements, create user stories, facilitate and lead workshops, and ensure successful solutions delivery.
  • This role offers opportunities to work with advanced technologies while making meaningful contributions to critical business initiatives.
  • This role works closely with Manufacturing Operations, primarily within the Frederick, MD facilities, but also across various sites and with other IT teams as needed.
  • Key Skills: Key Responsibilities Partnering with Manufacturing Operations in creating business value through new product introductions, productivity, and process improvements Gather and analyze business requirements.
  • Facilitate communication between business and IT teams Create and maintain business and functional requirements Support User Acceptance Testing and End User Training Have a good understanding of our MES systems Manage stakeholder expectations.
  • Education Bachelor's Degree plus 2 years of experience in business analysis, requirements gathering, and process improvement Preferred Fields of Study: Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Life Sciences, or related field Required Qualifications Extensive experience in Agile methodologies and project management principles Advanced skills in data analysis and reporting using tools like Excel, Power BI, SQL Experience with JIRA, Confluence, and other project management/documentation tools Excellent requirements gathering and documentation capabilities Strong communication and facilitation skills for leading workshops and stakeholder meetings.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate business needs into technical requirements Experience creating user stories, process flows, and acceptance criteria Proficiency in conducting user acceptance testing (UAT).
  • Ability to work effectively in cross-functional environments Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills Knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC).

 

 

Preferred Qualifications-

  • Experience working with software development or configuration tools Life Science industry background is a strong plus Experience working in a GxP environment is a strong plus.

Other Skills and Abilities-

  • Must be self-confident, assertive, and self-motivated Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills; attention to detail is crucial Ability to work as a team member and contribute to the overall success of a team as well as work independently and handle multiple tasks Ability to tear down complex problems into smaller components.
  • Ability to develop solutions that reduce total cost of ownership over the long run Strong written and oral communication skills with internal customers and all levels of management in a non-technical manner. Customer focus and proven ability to build strong working relationships.
  • Ability to organize, disseminate information efficiently gain consensus and set expectations Strong time management skills, prioritization abilities and drive to take ownership of issues and tasks.

 

 

 

 

In compliance with the salary transparency law, the expected pay range for this role is $40 -$50/hr. Actual compensation depends on experience and interview evaluation.
