Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Camunda
Platform Engineer (DevOps) to design, implement, and support enterprise-grade
Camunda 8 Self-Managed environments. The ideal candidate will have strong
expertise in Kubernetes, AWS cloud infrastructure, DevOps automation, and
workflow orchestration using Camunda BPM. This role will focus on building
highly available, scalable, secure, and multi-tenant workflow platforms while
ensuring operational excellence through automation, monitoring, and disaster
recovery strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and manage
Camunda 8 Self-Managed environments on Kubernetes, preferably Amazon EKS.
- Configure, optimize, and
maintain Zeebe broker clusters, including partitioning, replication,
scaling, and performance tuning.
- Implement and support
multi-tenant Camunda deployments.
- Design and maintain
high-availability (HA), failover, backup, restore, and disaster recovery
(DR) solutions.
- Develop and maintain
Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, CloudFormation, and Helm Charts.
- Build and manage CI/CD
pipelines for BPMN workflows, Camunda applications, and infrastructure
deployments.
- Configure and manage
monitoring, logging, and observability solutions using Prometheus,
Grafana, ELK Stack, Elasticsearch, or OpenSearch.
- Ensure platform security
through IAM, secrets management, TLS certificates, network policies, and
cloud security best practices.
- Perform capacity planning,
cost optimization, and infrastructure performance analysis.
- Troubleshoot and resolve
issues related to Kubernetes clusters, Camunda components, Zeebe brokers,
gateways, and workflow execution.
- Collaborate with application
development, architecture, cloud engineering, and operations teams to
deliver scalable workflow automation solutions.
- Support platform upgrades,
patch management, and environment maintenance activities.
Required Qualifications
- 6+ years of experience in
DevOps, Platform Engineering, Cloud Engineering, or Infrastructure
Engineering roles.
- Hands-on experience with
Camunda 8, including Zeebe Brokers, Gateways, Operate, Tasklist, and BPMN
workflow deployments.
- Strong expertise in
Kubernetes administration and container orchestration, preferably Amazon
EKS.
- Experience deploying and
managing applications using Helm Charts and Kubernetes deployment patterns.
- Strong experience with AWS
services including EKS, EC2, S3, IAM, CloudWatch, and related cloud-native
services.
- Experience implementing
Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and/or AWS CloudFormation.
- Hands-on experience with
CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI.
- Experience with monitoring
and observability platforms including Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack,
Elasticsearch, or OpenSearch.
- Strong scripting and
automation skills using Bash, Python, YAML, and shell scripting.
- Experience implementing
security controls, secrets management, access controls, and networking
policies.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with multi-tenant
Camunda deployments and enterprise-scale workflow automation platforms.
- Knowledge of Site
Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles and operational best practices.
- Experience supporting
mission-critical production environments.
- Familiarity with
microservices architectures and cloud-native application deployment models.
- Experience with disaster
recovery planning, backup strategies, and platform resiliency
implementations.
