Position Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Azure Cloud Architect with deep expertise in Azure Cloud Operations, large-scale cloud migrations, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and enterprise cloud transformation initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership capabilities and hands-on expertise in designing, automating, securing, and optimizing enterprise-scale Azure environments.

This role requires a seasoned cloud architect who can lead complex on-premises to Azure migration programs, mentor engineering teams, engage directly with demanding enterprise stakeholders, and drive best practices across Terraform, Ansible, CI/CD, cloud security, and DevOps automation.

The candidate will serve as a technical leader responsible for architecting scalable cloud solutions, improving operational excellence, and guiding teams through cloud modernization initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead enterprise-scale on-premises to Azure cloud migration initiatives
• Design and architect scalable, secure, and resilient Azure cloud environments
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to cloud engineering teams
• Collaborate with application teams and stakeholders to define migration strategies and cloud solutions
• Drive Azure Operations and cloud infrastructure optimization initiatives
• Develop reusable and modular Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform and Ansible
• Design and implement automated CI/CD pipelines and DevOps best practices
• Troubleshoot production issues and conduct root cause analysis (RCA)
• Guide teams in Terraform module development, code reviews, debugging, and deployment processes
• Deploy and manage infrastructure across Development, Test, and Production environments
• Configure and manage Azure services including networking, identity, security, secrets, and firewalls
• Perform cloud governance, compliance validation, and security audits
• Implement advanced monitoring, analytics, anomaly detection, and operational optimization strategies
• Participate in architectural discussions and provide strategic cloud transformation recommendations
• Ensure high availability, scalability, reliability, and operational excellence across Azure environments

Required Skills & Qualifications

Must-Have Skills

• 15+ years of overall IT infrastructure and cloud experience
• Strong expertise in Microsoft Azure Cloud Architecture and Operations
• Hands-on experience with Azure Migrate and enterprise cloud migration programs
• Minimum 5+ years of leadership experience in on-premises to Azure cloud migrations
• Strong expertise in Terraform, Ansible, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
• Experience with Packer and Open Policy Agent (OPA)
• Expertise in Azure Operations, cloud governance, and cloud optimization
• Strong experience designing and deploying scalable cloud infrastructure
• Expertise in building automated CI/CD pipelines and implementing DevOps practices
• Strong understanding of Azure networking, identity, certificates, secrets, and firewall management
• Experience with Azure database services such as:
• Azure Cosmos DB
• Azure SQL
• Proficiency in scripting and automation using:
• Python
• Bash
• PowerShell
• Strong troubleshooting, debugging, and root cause analysis skills
• Experience handling enterprise customers and collaborating with cross-functional teams
• Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills

• Experience with enterprise cloud modernization programs
• Exposure to hybrid cloud environments
• Knowledge of cloud security frameworks and compliance standards
