Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced UX/UI Designer to create accessible, user-centered digital experiences for consumer or enterprise websites. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in inclusive design and a proven track record of delivering products aligned with WCAG 2.2 AA standards. This role involves end-to-end design ownership—from discovery through development and long-term optimization.

Key Responsibilities

Lead UX discovery activities including stakeholder interviews, user journey mapping, and usability testing (including assistive technology users).
Create wireframes, high-fidelity designs, and interactive prototypes that align with brand guidelines and accessibility standards.
Develop and maintain a scalable design system including components, patterns, and design tokens.
Design responsive templates for key pages such as homepage, service pages, self-service tools, eCommerce flows, and custom modules.
Collaborate closely with Information Architects on navigation, search experience, and content readability improvements.
Work with internal creative teams on art direction and iterate designs based on usability and accessibility testing feedback.
Deliver detailed, annotated design specifications for development teams.
Ensure consistency and continuous improvement of the design system during long-term maintenance.

Required Qualifications

6+ years of UX/UI design experience for consumer or enterprise web applications.
Strong portfolio showcasing at least two live projects compliant with WCAG 2.2 AA (or WCAG 2.1 AA with 2.2 enhancements).
Expertise in inclusive and accessible design for users with visual, cognitive, and motor impairments.
Advanced proficiency in Figma, including component libraries and design systems.
Experience designing responsive, mobile-first interfaces across modern browsers.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working with public sector or regulated industry projects.
Certifications such as IAAP CPACC or WAS.
Understanding of motion and interaction design, especially for multimedia (audio/video) accessibility.

Figma, FigJam, Maze / UserTesting, Stark or axe (Figma plugins), Adobe Creative Cloud
