Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Slack Integration Developer to support the implementation of Slack Enterprise Grid and help establish Slack as a core collaboration platform ("WorkOS") across the organization.
The consultant will be responsible for designing, implementing, and governing Slack integrations with enterprise engineering and business platforms including GitHub, Jira, Confluence, ServiceNow, Artifactory, and other SaaS applications. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in Slack application development, workflow automation, API integrations, security governance, and enterprise collaboration platforms.
Key Responsibilities
Slack Enterprise Grid Implementation
- Support the deployment and configuration of Slack Enterprise Grid.
- Define and implement Slack governance, workspace architecture, security controls, and operational processes.
- Establish standards for workspace administration, user management, app governance, and compliance.
- Develop strategies for scalable Slack adoption across engineering and business teams.
Slack Application Development
- Design, develop, and maintain custom Slack applications and bots.
- Utilize:
- Slack Events API
- Slack Web API
- Slack Bolt Framework
- Implement workflow automation and process optimization within Slack.
SaaS Platform Integrations
Develop and manage integrations between Slack and enterprise platforms, including:
- GitHub
- Pull Request notifications
- Repository activity alerts
- CI/CD pipeline notifications
- Jira
- Issue tracking
- Ticket creation and automation
- Workflow notifications
- Confluence
- Knowledge sharing integrations
- Content notifications
- ServiceNow
- Incident management alerts
- Service request workflows
- Artifactory and other enterprise SaaS platforms
Security & Governance
- Review and manage:
- OAuth scopes
- Service accounts
- Webhooks
- App permissions
- API access controls
- Assess integration security, compliance, and data exposure risks.
- Establish auditing, monitoring, and lifecycle management processes for integrations.
- Ensure integrations are secure, scalable, and maintainable.
Collaboration & Support
- Partner with IT, Software Engineering, Security, and Platform teams.
- Document integration architecture, governance standards, and operational procedures.
- Provide recommendations for platform improvements and automation opportunities.
Required Skills

- Experience building custom Slack bots, workflows, and automation solutions.

- Experience with REST APIs, Webhooks, OAuth, and API security.
- Knowledge of enterprise collaboration platform governance and administration.
- Understanding of integration architecture, monitoring, and operational best practices.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience implementing Slack Enterprise Grid in large enterprise environments.
- Knowledge of CI/CD platforms and DevOps workflows.
- Experience with engineering productivity platforms and collaboration ecosystems.
- Familiarity with audit, compliance, and security requirements for SaaS platforms.
Experience Required
- 6–8 years of overall IT experience.
- Proven experience developing Slack applications and enterprise integrations.
- Experience supporting enterprise collaboration and engineering productivity platforms.
