Technical Business Analyst / Project Manager – Post-Trade Operations IT
Job Summary
Operations IT is seeking an experienced Technical Business Analyst and Project Manager to support the firm’s post-trade processing environment across Equities, Fixed Income, and Derivatives platforms.
The successful candidate will:
* Have an in-depth understanding of post-trade processing flows, particularly Broadridge IMPACT/CNS intraday and overnight processing, and the associated interfaces and data used for clearance and settlement.
* Have familiarity with SWIFT messaging.
* Have exposure to supporting other settlement and back-office systems, such as BPS, GLOSS, or FIS products, which would be highly desirable.
* Identify and analyze technology and business-process problems and develop appropriate business requirements and solutions for tactical and strategic initiatives.
* Collaborate with Business and Technology stakeholders across the organization.
* Be technically proficient, well organized, and capable of managing multiple priorities.
* Communicate technical and business solutions clearly and work independently with minimal oversight.
* Liaise with vendors, service providers, technology stakeholders, users, and management to deliver solutions for Back Office and Operations IT.
* Support existing post-trade processing platforms, applications, interfaces, and operational flows.
* Apply prior experience with programming, job schedulers, vendor feeds, messaging platforms, documentation, business analysis, and project management.
* Identify and document procedural and technology gaps and develop scalable, repeatable solutions that comply with established governance frameworks and IT best practices.
Major Responsibilities
* Perform business analysis and project management activities to understand and document requirements for Operations IT projects.
* Support initiatives designed to improve the efficiency, stability, and scalability of new and existing Operations applications.
* Gather, analyze, document, and validate functional and technical business requirements.
* Work with business users, developers, infrastructure teams, vendors, and other stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
* Identify, document, track, and manage project, operational, and technology risks.
* Recognize issues proactively and develop solutions to mitigate potential adverse impacts.
* Identify, document, and remediate gaps in systems, procedures, controls, and operational processes.
* Ensure that Operations IT processes align with internal guidelines, compliance requirements, and industry best practices.
* Perform process mapping and recommend process improvements and automation opportunities.
* Coordinate application enhancements, production support activities, vendor changes, testing, implementation, and post-implementation validation.
* Support data analysis, data loads, interfaces, batch processing, messaging, reconciliation, clearance, and settlement workflows.
* Prepare project plans, requirements documents, process flows, status reports, risk logs, and other project documentation.
* Guide and coordinate technical and functional resources as required.
Required Qualifications
* Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a STEM field, MBA, or related discipline.
* Approximately 10–15 years of professional experience in IT, financial services technology, process re-engineering, or IT consulting.

* Experience supporting post-trade processing, clearance, settlement, and back-office applications.
* Strong knowledge of Broadridge IMPACT and CNS intraday and overnight processing.
* Familiarity with interfaces and data flows supporting clearance, settlement, reconciliation, and accounting.
* Familiarity with SWIFT messaging and other financial-services messaging platforms.
* Exposure to additional settlement or back-office products such as BPS, GLOSS, or FIS platforms is preferred.
* Experience working with vendors, service providers, technical teams, functional teams, business users, and senior management.
* Hands-on experience performing gap analysis, managing data, documenting requirements, and guiding project resources.
* Experience with process mapping, process re-engineering, and continuous process improvement.
* Familiarity with:
* Data warehousing
* Data loads and data processing
* Batch and overnight processing
* Job schedulers
* Vendor feeds
* Messaging platforms
* System interfaces
* Working knowledge of SQL queries and a general programming background.
