Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Data Analyst with strong experience in Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance to analyze, interpret, and deliver actionable insights from complex datasets. The ideal candidate will support underwriting, claims, actuarial, and business teams by transforming insurance data into meaningful reports and dashboards that drive informed decision-making.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyze P&C insurance data related to underwriting, claims, premiums, losses, reserves, and policy performance

  • Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and KPIs for business stakeholders

  • Perform data validation, cleansing, and reconciliation across multiple insurance systems

  • Identify trends, loss drivers, and risk patterns to support pricing, underwriting, and claims strategies

  • Collaborate with underwriting, actuarial, claims, and finance teams to translate business needs into analytical solutions

  • Support regulatory and compliance reporting requirements

  • Automate recurring reports and improve data processes for efficiency and accuracy

  • Present insights clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences


Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field

  • 8+ years of experience as a Data Analyst, preferably in Property & Casualty insurance

  • Strong understanding of P&C insurance concepts: underwriting, claims lifecycle, loss ratios, reserves, and pricing

  • Proficiency in SQL for data extraction and analysis

  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar

  • Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, macros preferred)

  • Ability to work with large, complex datasets from multiple sources


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with Python or R for data analysis and automation

  • Familiarity with insurance data models and policy administration systems

  • Knowledge of statistical analysis and predictive modeling

  • Exposure to regulatory reporting standards in P&C insurance

  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
