Job Title: Software QA with Leadership Experience

Location: Grand Rapids, MI (Onsite)

Duration: 6 – 12 months

 
Given the scale and complexity of the program, it is critical for candidates to demonstrate leadership, cross team coordination, communication, and the ability to command a room in order to be successful in this role. Those moving forward should be able to showcase these skills with concrete examples from their own experience.

What you will be doing:  

• Take ownership to ensure the test deliverables are met to standards, quality practices and end-user requirements for IT projects and programs
• Coordinate within and across teams to create test strategy, test plans, timelines and alignment on test execution
• Coordinate within and across teams to build test scenarios, test cases, test data and other quality-related deliverables
• Develop comprehensive test strategies with input from developers, analysts, enabling teams and process experts
• Facilitate the development of test plans, test scenarios and test cases for Product Teams
• Ensure test data and other needed information is prepared and available for test execution
• Align with Program test deliverables and take ownership in preparing and coordinating testing for your assigned teams
• Ensure test deliverables are met on time to meet program requirements
• Take responsibility to facilitate and coordinate test execution within and across project teams
• Take ownership to coordinate cross team test execution and make sure test progress is made on day-to-day basis
• Coordinate and facilitate the bug life cycle to remove blockers promptly during test coordination
• Ensure bugs are logged and assigned to the respective owner to fix
• Make sure bugs get retested to ensure the fix is applied and the feature works as expected
• Create test reports and dashboard to provide quality metrics and analysis on testing
• Collaborate closely with other team members to continuously improve and adjust standards and practices.
• Partner with Automation Specialists to deliver automated testing strategies by providing manual test scripts, test data and other relevant information for automation

·         Minimum 3-5 years in leading software projects in Testing area

·         Strong communication – written and verbal

·         Reporting and metrics 

Nice to have:

·         ADO experience

·         SAP experience is a plus 

Technical Components of the position includes such tools and technologies as MS Azure DevOps, MS Visual Studio, Service Now, SAP, Web Technologies, Microsoft Office suite, etc.

Qualifications:

·         Bachelor’s degree

·         Minimum 3-5 years in leading software projects in Testing area

·         Expertise in leading testing projects and has experience in Testing methodology, practices, processes and tools

·         Expertise in coordinating testing for global programs/projects

·         Strong leadership/interpersonal skills and project management skillset

·         Ambitious team player, who is collaborative with all audiences

·         Ability to quickly jump into projects to understand the business processes and lead testing

·         Ability to embrace details and understand the ‘big picture’ and contribute to the successful delivery of milestones

·         Experience working in Agile/SCRUM software development environment and strong knowledge of SCRUM practices

·         Understanding of programming and development languages such as Java, C, .NET

·         Experience in testing web, SAP application
