Role Summary

The Azure DevOps Tech Lead is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, and DevOps processes.

This role involves leading a team, ensuring best practices, and collaborating with development, QA, and operations teams to deliver high-quality, secure, and scalable software solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the design, implementation, and optimization of CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps.
Manage and automate infrastructure using ARM templates, Terraform, or Bicep.
Oversee source control, branching strategies, and version management (Git).
Implement DevOps best practices including continuous integration, continuous delivery, and infrastructure as code.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (development, QA, cloud, security) to streamline workflows.
Monitor and improve system performance, deployment reliability, and environment stability.
Ensure proper security configurations and compliance across DevOps processes.
Troubleshoot build, deployment, and environment issues.
Mentor and guide DevOps engineers on technical and process improvements.
Prepare documentation, dashboards, and reports on DevOps activities.
Drive automation initiatives to reduce manual tasks and improve efficiency.

Required Skills & Qualifications

6–10+ years of overall experience, with 3+ years in a DevOps lead role.
Strong hands-on experience with Azure DevOps (Repos, Pipelines, Boards, Artifacts).
Expertise in CI/CD pipelines for .NET, Java, or cloud-native applications.
Strong knowledge of Azure Cloud Services (App Services, AKS, Storage, Networking, Key Vault, etc.).
Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code tools: Terraform, ARM, or Bicep.
Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and container orchestration.
Strong scripting skills (PowerShell, Bash, Python, YAML).
Familiarity with monitoring tools (Azure Monitor, App Insights, Grafana, etc.).
Good understanding of security best practices (RBAC, policies, secrets management).
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
