Role - Transportation EDI Integration Project Manager
Location - Austin , Texas- 5 days onsite

Must Have Skills
Skill 1 – 5+ years of experience in transportation, supply chain systems, or logistics technology
Skill 2 – Direct experience working on carrier EDI and API integrations
Skill 3 – Strong understanding of common transportation data flows and message types


Key Responsibilities

Carrier Integration Delivery (EDI / API) and Electronic Document Exchange

• Lead onboarding for common transportation messages, such as:

o Load tender (e.g., 204 / 300 / API tender)

o Shipment status and key data elements (214 / 240 / 315)

o Appointment scheduling (when applicable)

o Freight invoice (110 / 210 / 310)

o Other EDI and API messages as needed

• Ensure data mapping aligns with Blue Yonder TMS structures and operational workflows.

• Lead electronic document exchange integration (transmit, receive, and store documents in Centralized Document Repository)

• Plan and coordinate unit testing, end to end testing, and operational validation with carriers.

• Proactively escalate risks and delays with impact-based recommendations.

Logistics & Operations Alignment

• Partner closely with transportation planners, execution teams, and freight pay/audit to confirm integrations solve real operational problems.

• Ensure carriers are onboarded in a way that supports:

o Timely tendering and acceptance

o Accurate shipment visibility

o Reduced manual work and exceptions

o Clean billing and dispute reduction

• Develop and execute cutover strategies that minimize disruption to daily shipping.

Governance, Standards & Continuous Improvement

• Work with Logistics Analytics team to develop and track onboarding metrics such as carrier compliance, cycle time, go live success rate, and post go live defects.

• Identify opportunities to standardize carrier integrations and reduce custom work.

• Support future TMS enhancements, carrier expansions, or regional rollouts.

 

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in transportation, supply chain systems, or logistics technology.

• Direct experience working on carrier EDI and API integrations.

• Strong understanding of common transportation data flows and message types.

• Proven ability to manage cross functional teams and external partners without direct authority.

 

Preferred Qualifications

• Hands-on knowledge of transportation operations, including how planners and execution teams use TMS inputs and outputs.

• Experience working with or implementing Blue Yonder TMS (preferred).

• Experience onboarding dozens of carriers across multiple modes, domestically and internationally.

• Experience supporting TMS implementations, upgrades, or large transportation transformations.

• Experience with electronic document transmission to and receipt from Logistics providers.
