Job Title: Lead System Engineer
Job Summary: - We are seeking an experienced Lead Mainframe System Engineer to support IBM mainframe systems and related software. The role involves ensuring high availability, performance, security, and reliability of the enterprise mainframe environment while supporting business-critical applications.
Key Responsibilities:-
- Upgrade mainframe operating systems (z/OS) and system software.
- Manage and support subsystems such as CICS, DB2, IMS, JES2/JES3, RACF, and MQ.
- Experience in reviewing System Changes, Service request and ensure all risk is
- Guide/Lease Vendor team to enable proper Monitor system, performance and capacity; identify and resolve performance bottlenecks.
- Enforce RCA for all repeated and critical issue; Provide direction to the team during critical incidents for resolution
- Perform impact analysis of the maintenance tasks, patches, and software updates while ensuring minimal business disruption.
- Review storage management solutions, backup, and recovery processes to ensure system and data recovery
- Implement and maintain security controls, user access, and compliance requirements.
- Support disaster recovery planning, testing, and business continuity initiatives.
- Collaborate with application teams, infrastructure teams, vendors, and business stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, standards, and operational procedures.
