JD:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Performance Testing Specialist with deep expertise in Load Testing and Performance Engineering. The ideal candidate will be responsible for independently designing, executing, and managing comprehensive end-to-end performance testing activities for large-scale web applications hosted on Amazon Web Services (AWS).

Key Responsibilities

The candidate will be expected to lead the performance testing lifecycle, ensuring system reliability and scalability through the following activities:

Strategy & Design:

Design and execute robust end-to-end load testing strategies for enterprise-level web applications.
Define performance test plans, including workload models and success criteria.

Execution & Simulation:

1. Simulate diverse real-world traffic scenarios, including normal, peak, and spike loads.
2. Develop and maintain sophisticated performance test scripts for critical business workflows.

Testing Types:

1. Conduct rigorous Stress Testing to find system breaking points.
2. Perform Endurance Testing to evaluate system stability and reliability over extended periods.

Monitoring & Analysis:

1. Monitor key system performance metrics (KPIs) such as CPU utilization, memory consumption, database performance, and transaction response times.
2. Identify performance bottlenecks across the application stack.

Reporting & Collaboration:

1. Provide actionable optimization recommendations to development and infrastructure teams.
2. Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders for test execution, issue resolution, and final reporting.

Required Skills and Experience

To be successful in this role, candidates must possess:

Technical Expertise

Performance Testing: Extensive hands-on experience in Load Testing and Performance Engineering methodologies.
Tooling: Strong proficiency with LoadRunner or equivalent industry-standard load testing tools (e.g., JMeter, NeoLoad).
Cloud Infrastructure: Proven experience testing applications hosted within AWS environments and understanding cloud-native performance factors.
Metrics Analysis: Deep understanding of system performance metrics and the ability to interpret complex data to find root causes of latency or failure.

Professional Competencies

Analytical Thinking: Ability to identify complex bottlenecks and propose technical improvements.
Documentation: Experience in creating detailed, executive-level performance reports and technical insights.
Independence: Ability to work autonomously and manage project deliverables with minimal supervision.
