Job Description – Sitecore Architect

Location: Raritan, NJ (Onsite)
Employment Type: C2C / Contract

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Sitecore Architect / Full Stack Developer with 10+ years of IT experience and extensive recent hands-on experience with the Sitecore platform. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Sitecore architecture, Sitecore 10.x, Headless architecture, XM Cloud/SitecoreAI, SXA, Helix, Azure, DevOps, and modern front-end technologies.

This is a hands-on technical leadership role requiring the candidate to design Sitecore solutions, work directly with client stakeholders and architects, guide development teams, troubleshoot production issues, and contribute to hands-on development when required.

Required Qualifications

10+ years of overall IT experience.
7+ years of recent hands-on Sitecore experience.
2+ years of recent hands-on experience with Sitecore Headless Architecture.
1+ year of recent hands-on experience with Sitecore 10.x.
Sitecore certification in Sitecore 10, XM Cloud, or SitecoreAI CMS Developer.
Recent Sitecore MVP recognition is strongly preferred/required.
Must have previously worked as a Sitecore Architect on a Sitecore implementation program.
Strong expertise in Sitecore architecture, development, deployment, and implementation.
Experience working across both Sitecore support and development projects.
Strong experience with:

Sitecore SXA
Sitecore Helix
Search solutions
Sitecore customizations
Sitecore integrations
Production troubleshooting and issue resolution
Sitecore upgrades

Experience with Sitecore on Azure and DevOps practices.
Strong understanding of Sitecore Analytics, Google Analytics, or similar analytics platforms.
Experience with Vercel.
Hands-on experience with Next.js and React.js, preferably in headless Sitecore implementations.
Strong front-end knowledge of HTML, JavaScript, React, and CSS.
Experience working with microservices architectures.
Platform-agnostic cloud knowledge across Azure, AWS, and/or Google Cloud.
Strong communication, client-facing, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities

Sitecore Architecture & Solution Design

Design scalable and maintainable Sitecore solutions following industry and platform best practices.
Define Sitecore architecture for implementation programs, including Headless, SXA, Helix, integrations, search, and deployment architecture.
Analyze business and technical requirements and translate them into effective Sitecore solutions.
Participate in architecture and solution discussions with clients and their technical architects.
Evaluate technical approaches and recommend appropriate Sitecore architecture and implementation patterns.

Client & Stakeholder Management

Work directly with client business and technical teams to clarify requirements.
Manage stakeholder expectations and communicate technical solutions effectively.
Participate in architecture workshops and technical discussions with customer architects.
Provide technical guidance and thought leadership throughout the implementation lifecycle.

Technical Leadership

Lead and guide a team of Sitecore developers.
Review development work and ensure adherence to Sitecore best practices, Helix, and SXA standards.
Troubleshoot complex technical issues and provide solutions to development teams.
Assist with technical blockers and guide developers toward effective resolutions.
Conduct code and solution reviews where required.

Hands-on Development

Remain hands-on and contribute to development activities when required.
Develop and customize Sitecore solutions.
Work with Sitecore Headless, Next.js, React.js, and modern front-end technologies.
Develop and support Sitecore integrations and microservices.
Troubleshoot and resolve production issues within defined SLAs.

Sitecore Cloud & DevOps

Support Sitecore deployments and implementations on Azure.
Work with DevOps pipelines and deployment processes.
Support Sitecore upgrades, platform maintenance, and environment-related activities.
Apply cloud-native and platform-agnostic architecture principles across Azure, AWS, and Google Cloud environments.
