Role       : Power BI Developer

Location : Whippany, NJ (Hybrid)

Duration : Contract - Long Term

Only local NJ candidates are accepted 

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards, reports, and semantic models
• Translate business requirements into effective visualizations and KPIs
• Build interactive features (drill‑downs, drill‑throughs, bookmarks, tooltips)
• Create and optimize DAX measures, calculated columns, and data models
• Perform ETL using Power Query (M) and validate data accuracy
• Integrate data from SQL Server, Azure SQL, ADF/Synapse, SharePoint, Excel, APIs, and flat files
• Implement Row-Level Security (RLS) and manage datasets/workspaces in Power BI Service
• Collaborate with SMEs and program leads to refine dashboards and present insights
• Support governance, compliance, and deployment best practices

Required Qualifications

• 7-10 years as a Power BI Developer or BI Analyst
• Strong skills in Power BI Desktop & Service, DAX, Power Query, SQL
• Solid understanding of star/snowflake schemas and data modeling
• Experience with large datasets and performance tuning
• Strong analytical and communication skills
