Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior RF Optimization Engineer with 10+ years of hands-on experience in 4G LTE and 5G wireless network optimization. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maximizing RAN performance across multi-vendor environments while leveraging AI-driven optimization techniques and collaborating with IT teams to support network automation initiatives.

This is a 100% onsite Contract (C2C) opportunity located in Terrace, FL.

 

Must-Have Skills

• 10+ years of RF Optimization experience in LTE and 5G Wireless Networks
• Strong expertise in 4G LTE and 5G NR technologies
• Experience optimizing multi-vendor RAN environments
• Hands-on experience with Ericsson, Nokia, and Samsung RAN equipment
• Strong understanding of RF KPIs, network performance, and troubleshooting
• Experience with OSS tools, drive test analysis, and RF optimization utilities
• Knowledge of AI/ML applications in network optimization is highly preferred

Key Responsibilities

• Optimize and improve 4G LTE and 5G RAN network performance, ensuring high service quality and customer experience.
• Monitor, analyze, and improve key RAN KPIs including:
• Accessibility
• Retainability
• Throughput
• Mobility
• Call Success Rate
• Data Performance
• Configure, optimize, and tune multi-vendor RAN equipment including Ericsson, Nokia, and Samsung.
• Analyze network performance using OSS tools, drive test data, logs, traces, and performance counters.
• Identify and resolve complex RF issues related to interference, coverage, capacity, and mobility.
• Perform root cause analysis and implement optimization strategies to enhance network efficiency.
• Utilize AI/ML-based tools for predictive network optimization and automated fault detection.
• Collaborate with IT, OSS, and automation teams to integrate network data into automation pipelines.
• Support network modernization initiatives and ensure optimal utilization of radio resources.
• Prepare optimization reports, performance dashboards, and recommendations for continuous network improvement.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in LTE and 5G RF Optimization.
• Strong knowledge of RAN optimization methodologies and wireless communication principles.
• Experience with OSS platforms and RF optimization tools.
• Hands-on experience in drive test analysis and post-processing tools.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with AI/ML-based network optimization platforms.
• Knowledge of network automation frameworks.
• Experience with scripting languages such as Python or Shell for automation.
• Exposure to cloud-native telecom environments is a plus.
• Understanding of telecom infrastructure integration with modern IT systems.
