Position: Data Architect
Location:
San Leandro, CA – Onsite Role
Duration : Long term Contract
Description:
-
Define the target data architecture and cloud data platform design for enterprise analytics and
reporting.
-
Establish data layers, modelling standards, integration patterns, security controls, and platform
guardrails.
-
Design conceptual, logical, physical, gold-layer, and semantic data models.
-
Define ingestion, transformation, orchestration, monitoring, deployment, and reconciliation patterns.
-
Guide the migration and modernization of legacy data, transformation, and reporting workloads.
-
Provide architecture governance and technical direction to engineering teams.
Experience:
-
8+ years of experience as a Data Architect, including at least two successful enterprise-level
Snowflake implementations.
Skills:
-
Snowflake architecture, including virtual warehouses, Snowpipe, clustering, security, and performance
optimization.
-
Data modelling using Inmon and Kimball methodologies.
-
Cloud security and data governance.
-
dbt-based data transformation and legacy system reverse-engineering.
-
Hands-on experience building medallion architecture.
-
SAP data and SAP HANA knowledge is highly desirable.
