Job Description – Oracle Fusion Data Intelligence (FDI) Consultant

Location: Phoenix, AZ – 100% Onsite
Employment Type: C2C / Contract

 

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Oracle Fusion Data Intelligence (FDI) Consultant to support enterprise reporting, analytics, and business intelligence initiatives. The consultant will work closely with business stakeholders to understand reporting, KPI, and analytics requirements and translate them into scalable solutions leveraging Oracle Fusion Applications, Oracle Fusion Data Intelligence (FDI), Oracle Analytics Cloud (OAC), OTBI, and BI Publisher.

The ideal candidate will have a strong combination of Oracle Fusion Finance functional knowledge, data analytics, reporting, SQL, data modeling, and stakeholder management experience.

 

Key Responsibilities

Business & Functional Analysis

  • Engage with business stakeholders to understand reporting, analytics, dashboard, and KPI requirements.
  • Analyze end-to-end Oracle Fusion business processes, particularly within Finance.
  • Gather and document business requirements and translate them into technical and functional solutions.
  • Conduct fit-gap analysis and recommend best practices using Oracle FDI capabilities.
  • Facilitate workshops, business process mapping sessions, and solution discussions.
  • Support business users during UAT, training, and solution adoption.

Oracle Fusion & Analytics

  • Work extensively with Oracle Fusion Applications – Finance.
  • Design and develop analytics solutions using:
    • Oracle Fusion Data Intelligence (FDI)
    • Oracle Analytics Cloud (OAC)
    • OTBI
    • BI Publisher
  • Design business dashboards, scorecards, KPIs, and executive reporting solutions.
  • Support reporting and analytics requirements across Oracle Fusion environments.
  • Analyze data and reporting requirements to ensure accurate and meaningful business insights.

Technical Responsibilities

  • Develop complex SQL queries for reporting and data analysis.
  • Apply strong understanding of data modeling and data warehousing concepts.
  • Work with ETL/ELT processes and data integration solutions.
  • Support data integrations and APIs between Oracle Fusion and other enterprise systems.
  • Perform performance tuning, troubleshooting, and issue resolution for reporting and analytics solutions.
  • Validate data accuracy, integrity, and reporting outputs.

Client & Stakeholder Management

  • Work directly with business users, technical teams, and senior stakeholders.
  • Lead client workshops and executive-level solution discussions.
  • Provide recommendations based on Oracle FDI capabilities and business requirements.
  • Communicate technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Collaborate with global delivery and consulting teams to drive successful implementation.

  • Hands-on Oracle Fusion Data Intelligence (FDI) implementation experience.
  • Experience with 2 or more end-to-end Oracle Cloud implementations.
  • Experience with Finance and Procurement analytics.
  • Oracle Cloud certifications are highly desirable.
  • Experience with Oracle Fusion AI/GenAI capabilities.
  • Exposure to data governance and Master Data Management (MDM).
  • Experience integrating Oracle Fusion with third-party analytics platforms such as Power BI or Tableau.
